Bought this used wtp trust a few days ago. It looks like a previous owner has removed the break and broken the bottom ends of the mounts inside the frame. Any help would be appreciated. I had an idea of a possible work around, by gluing nuts over with epoxy in order to screw mounts to fit a break? Any ideas? Thanks

Epoxy isn’t going to be strong enough to withstand the pressures of braking. You either need to get those brake mounts out or weld new ones on.
Yeahhh no, gluing brake mounts on is a no-go. Try an extractor bit set to get the old mounts out.
The mounts were welded on, and they’ve been hacked off. No epoxy resin in the world will hold for an application like a brake! Now add990 mounts can be welded on, you’ll have to find a frame builder or someone who has experience with fabrication and bicycles as your local car shop will butcher it.
Hate to be that guy…. What makes you think epoxy glue will be enough to withstand the stress of slowing down a human being? Common sense here 😂
These need to be removed, a skilled shop should be able to remove them and install new ones.
I actually think you might be able unscrew those and drop new posts in. Bring it to a bike shop, or learn how to use a left hand drill bit.
Did… did the original owner seriously smash off removable brake posts rather than just unscrew them? I swear some BMXers are literal cavemen, haha.
Either a bolt extractor set if you’re up to a bit of DIY, or a bike shop can likely remove them for you, then you just need to find the right replacement brake posts for your frame.
Just jam your foot, natural breaks
No chance that epoxy is gonna hold. The leverage on those posts during braking is really strong. Yer gonna wanna get a bolt extraction kit. You drill a small hole into the remaining bolt inside that mount and then there is a tool you screw into that hole counter clockwise to bite that hole and turn the peice out.
Is that left side ring cracked?
