Rescued this Klein Pulse Race for $40. Yes, that is a stamped crankset. Yes, they hand painted over the decals to touch them up. Yes, those are wheels from a Walmart bike. Yes, that is a cord holding the front brake on. I figure I can’t do more harm to it than has already been done. My questions are: what is best practice for removing paint from aluminum and does anyone know the specific color, or preferably paint code, used on this bike?
