hello everybody we’re on day five of our Italy trip still feeling unreal we’ve woken up in San Marino look at the view this morning it’s just bluming mental beautiful so had the best night sleep I honestly want to find out what that duet and cover is and buy one for home because I slept like a baby I was like I was saying to car I feel like I’m in a marshmallow it was so nice um anyway today we are doing about a 50 mile ride with a lot of climbing we’re going up 600 m in one climb I think um and we’re going to try and catch the pros on summer stage 13 but just how the group’s doing how fast we’re going so if we don’t catch them we’re going to have a lovely day in Italy so we can’t complain full sun today so bit chilly up here though it is a bit windy up here just on the way down to breakfast and just to give you a bit of om to this hotel it feels like gone back in time but it’s very you know Posh back in time this I think it’s a molis pulled out of the sea and that music that’s the lifter iing it’s like you in Wonderland really first morning oats oh KY your coffe is here see it’s not quite porridge but it will do I can add some yogurt to it some fruit to the side lovely go come she cocoa pots well it’s only wa for baby neck not no the bik are going on car’s a bit stressed cuz his phone’s broken but we’re going to hopefully fix it in a bit’s on the B is ready to go not reverse into anyone I do trust M was driving though so it’s all right ky’s really happy now cuz his phone has has been fixed by one of the team members fix it for me Alon fixed it for him today we’re riding from bori to I’m just looking on me Garmin because I’m not very good to fley this is what the elevation is looking like for today so got some hills to go up right we’re in the Beautiful Boy as I’ve been told that’s pronounced ity I don’t really know but look at this view it’s gorgeous Penny’s basking in her Italian Homeland and Kyle’s basking in the snacks Al this first day I’m going to start with the jacket Kyle it’s got a fluffy it’s very thin it is thin it’s fluffy going to be bacon but I’m really cold now you so need a little bit of a cl to warm up and then I can whip it off bit worried about it’s 16° you can’t be cold I am I’m a bit chilly you’re not coming down with something right so Alma just said to Kyle you’re going to get sweaty you need to take your jacket off but he’s standing Resolute he’s a man on a mission everyone else is going for the short sleeves watch him sweat you’re going to keep nothing left my time oh wait a minute KY are you taking your jacket off AB you want to see me go up the climb day he’s changed his mind starting off with the steady climbing wow that view behind us is amazing feel so happy to be back on the bike again just living a dream really quite feel real car as usual was off the front like a mountain goat absolutely loving Marco’s socks we’ve got left foot is happy right foot is angry Marco are you left foot or right foot happy is your left foot happy we’re at the top of climb naho we’ve got about six more climbs clb we have done two climbs sorry we’ve got six more to do today Kyle the naughty beggar two men not in our group went past NE and got on the back wheel didn’t you left the group behind well no I was trying to war your legs up oh yeah and then they they were old men by the way but they were very strong they were and I jumped on the back oh this is nice pace and I think cuz I jumped on the back then he started pushing hard and I was like you aggress glad you didn’t wear your jacket now aren’t you it was after they started pulling me up that CL I’m just worried about this what’s this on my side what’s that oh it’s just a bit ofit probably bit of Shamy cream to be honest with you yeah Shamy hey is a speed demon minute going see hey weird hey there little kitty this you oh Penny’s in Paradise she’s in a natural habitat she’s loving it you’re in Paradise too to oh stop it I’ve right behind you now we’re sort of we’re north of Rome so we’re technically Northern Italy but we’re more Central Northeast of Rome in amilio Romano headed towards the po valley here’s just a little disclaimer from Davis just double checking that we are where he said we were Siri where the hell are we am I somewh we’re somewhere in central Italy Northern somewhere other do you know where we are no ideaa a spectacular view either way it doesn’t matter where we are basically we’ve got a nice view woohoo by like like five miles we are uh yeah no more than that but uh by 20 miles we are in a m Mile and it wow just climbing again now I’ve been learning some Italian from Marco so apparently when instead of saying out like doing the UK if there’s something in front you say OKO which means eyes so car now thinks he Italian ok oh we’re in a cycling ran another deep Hill it’s going to go to an 18% gradient as says the sign we just went past but Marco pantani the very famous cyclist who won the jro and the toor France in the same year used to train on these roads so we’re riding in the footsteps of the pros doesn’t feel good it’s a snaker we Snak him around the end is inight we are 1,500 and 80 ft up in the air we’ve got a lovely little meat Meep at the top there’s loads beep in this actually go on the road meat Meep I don’t know what it’s called but I like to call it that should I get one for work no you get all your tools in there there an angry Italian doggy happy that we back to his truck all right we’re going we’re going oh my goodness look at that that’s good woohoo [Music] wow woohoo yippy there we go free wheer baby oh this is amazing wow oh that was epic did the most epic descent down I don’t know where we are now we did come P the sign oh we’re in somewhere Ricardo but the lovely Elmer is here she’s just been to a bakery she’s got her sandwiches she’s got his cakes we’re living a life a luxury but we do know that we’ve got a big climb coming up after this so we need to fuel up nowes yeah t faka this is sandwiches wow thank you welcome and the is bre you going to go for going get chees just found in Elmo’s little collection of food straight from the vine they luxury that was enough to make me move to it without the riding oh sweet these onion and tomato sandwich chees fresh onion and tomato ooh really nice really fresh now I’ve got a 5 Mile climb going at 1,523 FT remember she’s a lady you’ve got to caress it don’t be gentle with her the climbers a switch backer again they like the old switch PS the Italians do Kyle said treat her gently then he goes off like a bluming rocket bling Nora 2 miles down three to go it is a burner but it’s a burner with views so we can’t complain work it Kyle shake that little toui yay Jim well done woohoo that was quick we made it to the top I need to put my Jo back on a quick we hey well done rate the clown uh I’m going to give it a second s out of 10 reasons well I’ve had ones with nice of views surface was really nice gradient was perfect nice little Dill in the middle yeah nice did you guys enjoy it it was a great C that was actually really nice yeah the only downside to it I think is there’s no view at the top really but we probably will have a really nice desent now I’m going to stand this side cuz I don’t want to fall into the cactus cuz that would be an injury that I don’t need the Top’s off because been for a week T uh fuff around so let’s go what in are you doing last climb of the day climbing climbing we started singing together then climbing over Mountain Side here we go this is the elevator she we got 2.74 Mi 966 ft to climb and I’m currently in the wrong gear oh it’s a beautiful climb look at this here’s Kyle waited for me I didn’t have a phone the flies around me head that nice gee W I’m burning up I need a popsicle look at this though it’s gorgeous wow the views that we’re getting definitely make this climb worth it it’s a hard one but but it’s beautiful oh look at that beautiful you enjoying it Jim having a great time this nice isn’t it awesome nice smooth road yeah nearly at the top now I can see some green coming up on my Garin so it’s always a good sign 32 m in or Malones as I like to call them we’ve got about 14 left to go we’ve got a 360 view here it’s gorgeous look at that it’s idilic literally just Italy so beautiful and I just can’t believe where here are this is where we’re Along yeah they didn’t look like they were that’s what I mean they look like just roll it’ll Roll and Roll and Roll until like they’re having a nice cafe ride to me well Cafe ride that we won’t to keep you have half of that with you if you don’t mind me here thanks um so a ride storm we’ve seen the pren now we’ve got a lovely little picnic again then we’ve got a transfer to Lake Gard which has been on my bucket list I’ve always wanted to go there so I’m very excited Kyle’s on banana number four four bananas yeah I’m he did Nick one of mine though but now we’re so you would have had five I would have had five BL me yeah looks like we dve for a bu backward just been St in the back of the car but I’ve Su me air out BL me neck and we’re about halfway to Garder I don’t think we’re actually on saying on the lake but we’re going to be near to it it’s been such a great day and we’re going somewhere else tonight we stay in the next night place for two nights the weather’s gorgeous we’ve got two days left to riding so yeah living the dream just doesn’t feel real TT tomorrow oh yes tomorrow riding the TT that the pros are doing I don’t think I’m going to go all out but I think this one wants to don’t you i’ got to try I’ve got to save my legs a bit cuz in 5 days I’m doing all points North got wor about six days no no a week today a week today I’m doing all points North bling ack my legs are going to be nickered the late Garder we saw it on the way here it looks Splendid and we are at a place called The Splendid Soul says Spar I wish we had time for it does look Splendid does know why because I’ve been waiting on hand put here it’s like I think I’ve turned into one of them spoiled kids got here and I’m started feeling all sick cuz I’ve been in the car and had so many snacks I did say you know it’s one too many bananas there today no B is not the issue I’m used to that sandwiches Quant crisps sweets Coke and I’m not used to having all that in there I’m used to Petra stations on all that we can’t complain it is really good like you get up in the morning my bike’s been cleaned every day Penny’s never had it so good hey yeah you get told about time to go PT I know you get it yeah you’re thinking oh where should we go for dinner no you don’t even need to think about it they’ve sorted it for you so we’re now walking down to the restaurant Marco’s turn from ride leader to walking leader showing us where the restaurant is get three coures is night I mean they always say oh would you want another course I’m not going to say no okay plus dessert don’t forget dessert you oh yeah four courses Marco do you always have four courses in Italy which the S at a dinner chocolate the S chocolate chocolate you always have chocolate do you yeah what about sule Soule is the key to my heart tell you that oh wow look at this this really is luxury actually do we air a bit better I’m going to I’m going to be handing out the the VIP passes for tomorrow as the our day we’re Ding Dang done and it’s time to hit the sack I don’t think I did any ride STS today but basically we did 51 miles and around 1,500 M of going on up and now it’s time to go on down into
