Hi guys, I'm having some issues with my 140mm 2022 FOX 34 FLOAT Performance fork. The fork developed a knocking-type noise which occurs at the moment the fork begins to compress (please see video). The noise doesn't occur when the fork is locked, which confirms the noise is definitely coming from the fork and not the headset. Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9cxb8rqZ4YE
The fork didn't make this noise when it was new, but it started only after a few hundred kilometers of light use and got progressively worse. I am trying to have the fork replaced or fixed under warranty, but the bike shop where I bought the bike (Orbea Occam M30 2022) sent the fork to an independent suspension mechanic who apparently looked at the fork and didn't find any issues.
They are now trying to tell me that this type of noise is normal and caused by the design of the fork. Surely that cannot be right?! It's incredibly annoying when riding over slightly bumpy terrain, where the fork is constantly knocking.
Can someone with this exact fork confirm if they are having similar issues? Any ideas what could be causing the noise?
