I feel like all I’m doing at the moment is looking and bikes and I think I just need to bite the bullet so I can start training. I’ve been searching now for about 3 weeks and I have narrowed it down to these 5 bikes. These are all 58cm frame bikes and my budget started at £500 but has now stretched to £700
Bike 1 is a Merida Reacto 5000 which is up for £650 may be able to get him down to £500-550 but waiting on a reply
Bike 2 is a Pinarello RAZHA with a shimano 105
Group set have managed to talk her down to £600 which also includes a bike stand
Bike 3 is a Merlin cordite SL with an ultegra groups list price is £400 but recon I could get it for £350
Bike 4 is a Giant propel advanced 2 with a full Shannon 105 group set list price is £600 maybe get it for £500 if I’m lucky??
Bike 5 is a Genesis Zero it is a 2017 frame that was brought in 2022 and was built up from a second hand Cervelo R5s components. This one is available for £650
(Previously set on bike 5 but bike 1 has caught my eye after reading reviews online)
Interested to hear your opinions my aim is to get the best value bike possible that will last hopefully a half and full iron man

At first glance- Giant or Merida. Aero is big in a tri, you’re not drafting anyone (usually)
