That’s the stupidest thing I’ve seen in awhile. What’s the point of u-lock if you’re using it to redirect cables? And for the record, I’d never leave my bike outside like that all day.

The owners are likely the kind of people who are so new to cycling or at least a couple years riding one very casually, unaware of what they should be doing correctly.
