As of yesterday Mikoto has toured 10000km with me.
Her first adventure was a 6000km tour across Canada during the winter. Now we are currently 4200km in our Canada to Argentina adventure.
Mikoto is a Japanese honorific meaning Lord/Highness – when dealing with spiritual beings like gods.
She is a 3 year old Long Haired Weimaraner – soon to be 4, July 1st.
She averages about 40-50km depending how hot it is outside. Recently in Texas it’s been closer to 15km. lol
Her best day has been 80km.
She loves bananas and belly rubs.
I got Mikoto when she was 10 weeks old and since then the longest we’ve ever been apart is 1 month. She even comes and works with me when we go treeplanting.
(This is my 15000km celebration, I did an 5200km across India before I had her)

This is amazing. What a great travel companion.
I’m really curious how you keep her clean enough to share a tent, or do you just embrace the funk?

Wow, that’s awesome!
Tell her she’s a good girl for us.
My dog is too much of an anxious mess for me to even try biking with her. I’ll have to introduce it early whenever I get another dog.

Awesome! I remember seeing a post of you and her a while ago, so nice to see you all are still out there!
