Today I found out that there are platform adapters for bicycle contact pedals. So if you need to ride your bike in plain sneakers, you just snap it on and you've got regular pedals for going to get milk.
That's brilliant! Ordered a pair.

I’ve got a pair of adapters similar to these and I use them on my Look Keo pedals when I need to commute. They work great. Make sure you get a few pairs since they can sometimes pop off without you noticing and can be lost easily.
Yep, I used to carry a pair when I was touring. Makes it easy to do a grocery run in normal shoes after spending all day in cleats.
If you switch a lot, you could get a set of “spd platform pedals”. They are flat on one side and fits an spd cleat on the other. I have a set of those on my commuter bike. They don’t come as spd-sl or look.
I stopped using these. I pressed down on them to start rolling and they twisted right off. I landed hard on my handle bar and it bent straight into my rib cage.
i just buy another bike
I have them and they work but it doesn’t feel natural at all.
