This chain is new but when i changed it I didnt have a chance to do the casette as well. Its a 2×10. Im going from 12-25 to 11-28. The image shows the big-big combination. Would i need a couple more links to manage with the larger casette?

It’s a bit short, yes. One link more would be fine.
The chain is too short, but if you avoid the big-big gear combinations, it’s perfectly rideable.
I set my commuter up with a slightly too short chain once to see what would happen, and it was fine until I replaced the chain.
