pushing each other as they come up through the ranks well we saw that didn’t we we talked a bit about a bit about during the junior women’s race that you know when you’ve got a fast group together they push each other on very much the case we’ll talk about that a bit more once we get Morgan Williams out of the gate Aaron talk is through this first section flat out from the start isn’t it yeah super fast a lot of kind of burms and jumps kind of a little bit more of a man-made section a really cool way to start the race though a couple cranks out of the gate it is a starter or a flatter start gate than we’re kind of used to so you definitely got to earn those first few pedal strokes and then just straight into it the track gets really fast at the top a lot of BMS here as we were just talking about you see how shiny it’s getting already and it’s uh this is going to be a tricky one to to kind of figure out strategy on the shininess concerns me that’s the stuff that you get a bit of moisture on the goggle then things start looking shinier you don’t really know how much grips there you got no choice This World Cup finals yeah I think it’s important as you get into this run you know to start you you got to keep that intensity up you can’t afford to give time away straight out of the gate but you do kind of got to feel out the conditions a little bit here and and sort of you’re sort of formulating the plan as you go cuz information’s coming at you each turn and you’re kind of readjusting like okay track’s a little better here than I thought it would be a little worse here uh as you get into these trees it’s usually going to be a little drier cuz it’s not raining hard enough for the water to really get through that tree canopy yet so it’s kind of weird cuz you’ll hit these sections where it’s still Dusty and then you pop out of the open and it’ll be really slippery so you you’ve kind of got to adjust constantly all all the way down but then look at sections like this which are covered by the trees almost bone dry in that left hander that corner caught Charlie Hatton out yesterday yeah you can see on that screen like a matter of feet dry one side wet the other it’s just where the moisture can get through the track all these gaps as well it’s physical isn’t it they’re all like they’re all pools yeah we when we walked the track a couple of days ago I was kind of surprised you know you walk up to the lip of the jump and you think like okay The Landing is going to be right here but I felt like on this track every jump was about 10 ft further to The Landing than I thought it would be and I was like all right yeah it’s going to require a little bit of an effort and a lot of the bigger ones they come out of the trees and you’ve got to really put some pedals in to get the speed up to hit them uh they did change this section A little bit before the first practice and kind of tightened it up it was really fast coming in here before but it’s uh overall for a first track I mean the hats off to the trail crew man they put a ton of work into this course brand new venue and uh really did a good job it seemed like all the Riders really with the course this year uh something a little different a little I don’t know it’s always fun to come somewhere new and race something new so yeah good job to the team I think it’s really well marked as well isn’t it it’s wide when it needs to be wide it’s narrower whenever it needs to be more challenging it’s you use every inch of it the whole way around demonstrated there that little double bridge section Morgan Williams R there well that’s going to be key today it’s one of those little crunch bits yeah that is a tricky section cuz the rest of track is pretty fast and you get into these tight bits where it gets technical but that corner is a little more of like an Enduro style turn it really slows your speed down and makes you have to just pedal all the way back up to pace so it’s a it’s a really physical track standing at the bottom during qualifying yesterday I know even like l bruny and a few of these guys were like man it’s it’s a physical one it’s only 3 minutes but it’s it’s full gas all the way to the bottom full commitment through that Rocky rander as well from Williams great to see two drops to go then he’ll cross the line give us our Benchmark time so Morgan Williams down the line on Clips midair I’m going to chop that one up as uh unplanned yeah hard to tell since that’s first Rider down but it looked pretty solid from our standpoint not a lot of big mistakes there 315 as we go back to the top then Oliver Vogal from Austria gets things underway yeah you can see a little bit that first crank he really put the Power into it and it looked like he kind of did a burnout back G got loose that’s always a little bit of a tricky thing cuz you roll the bike to the start gate and you get water on the top tires and usually there’s a little bit of that like chicken wire on the wood and if you launch too hard when you got mud on the tires you start to spin that thing so it’s uh certainly certainly a problem I’ve never encountered but I’ll take your word for it so he’s back now at split four but a 10th of second so he’s brought it back Vogal he was fastest at at two so bit of a run here from the Austrian yeah that was a recovery right there he lost the front the rear end kind of followed that’s a really tricky section where it squeezes between the trees there but he gathered it back together this is definitely going to be a time fog in down the line the Austrian crosses it goes second so Williams strong at the bottom as we head back to the top then Carter sloon for Synergy 37 the Australian leaves a starter h on the common Sal we’re going to pick him up now further down the track one point 7 back at the third split for Sloan so this one he’s lost he’s dropped a second between two and three somewhere and it’s easy to do Ron R here it’s so intense isn’t it yeah for sure you can see oh he’s gaining a little bit back down here at the bottom which is good I was going to say when he popped out on the screen it looks like he’s putting in good effort here you definitely are going to have to fight for at the bottom of this track physical is uh those pedals kind of all happen later on in the course so you got to save a little in the tank for that there’s no let up here though is it you’re riding the hallway down every single section requires maximum commitment slow though is he going to go fast as no third so I mean look at that top three covered by 710 of a second I think that probably tells us all we need to know about what sort of race this is going to be yep that’s been the the story of the weekend man really tight times here next up then Noah HST Walker had a really good time in Fort William this looks fast to me let’s see what the big British Rider can do oh yeah yeah 2.6 faster so Noah looking good here yeah this is one of those courses some of these British Riders and these guys that are used to really rotting in these conditions when it starts to rain and kind of I think they’ll be able to adjust maybe a little quicker than other Riders the British Riders historically are just so good when the conditions start to get wet and he’s definitely proving it here as he extends even further at the bottom T from Fort William no getting ready to part the waves what’s he going to do first place then fastest put her on on the giant that’ll do in the hot seat for H Walker you can just see the rolloff system eer side off the goggles allows the Riders to to get some Clear Vision but to to activate it you’ve got to be able to take your hand off the bars which right here there isn’t really any natural place to do it is yeah that’s what I was going to say if you’re going to pull the roll off or a tear off usually you find a little flat area like maybe right when you land this jump right there but as you see there’s another corner and you got to be pumping or paddling or doing something there’s really nowhere on this track where it gives you a break where you can kind of sit down and take a hand off for a second if you’re real tricky you can do it on a jump but full commitment 4.4 back for Ken boot yeah whatever happened to that Bluetooth goggle system that did the rhs a while where it’s it’s streamed past on we did talk about it or putting it on like an automatic timer where every like 30 seconds it just automatically pulls one for you but I’m worried that my eyeline would follow it and then I just V the scen super technical section of the track you’re all focused and all of a sudden your goggles start moving around cranville 5.1 looks happy with that though yes Rider back to the top for Rory make brother of Toby make make Boys Racing newly formed Squad Brothers going racing together yeah you can see the rain here it’s it’s kind of just been rolling through In Waves all day where it’ll kind of pick up for a little bit and then it’ll chill out 4.7 seconds so yeah if you’ve not been following all the action on social media across the week Friday we got a massive downpour here in Bosco Bawa and Saturday morning the track baked baked itself hard all the rots sort of formed up and then over the course the last day and a half or so it’s been it’s been warm the sections that dry or half Dy out but this rain just making everything out in the open Gracie again sixth place for Rory make as he crosses the line really this could be a big run this could be a big run almost as big as the impact that Chris hoer made in the Fort William tree last time out if you haven’t seen that crash he put it on his social media God love it was happening for quite a long time Aon oh but slides out Los this is the front end well apologies if you heard any language there Chris haiser Aron talk us through it yeah that’s what we’ve been talking about I mean those sections in the open like you said they’ve been baking in all day in the sun yesterday and then you get that water you can see even when he stood up there’s just this little bit of Grease layer on the top and it is so hard to judge how hard you can push in that yeah unfortunate for him definitely one of the guys you would expect to be on the podium or fighting for wins every weekend as well as this man George madley from Madison sarson Factory team somebody as you said are in the the British Riders if there’s even a Whisper Of Rain doing a bit of a rain dance earlier in the weekend 710 so he’s in touch here was fast as at the first split madley his team manager will Longden was telling me that 6:00 a.m. every morning since he’s been here he’s been up binting off the walls wanting to go riding that’s awesome man I love the The Stoke from the junior Riders we have one on our team and it’s just uh it’s really cool it just it kind of reminds you you know just how fun bikes are every day they wake up and it’s the best day ever they can’t rate to ride their bike you can change anything on their bike and you ask them how does it feel and they’re like oh it’s amazing that was a good save there two seconds back from mudley yeah they just got that energy so I love to see it man got a win earlier in the season at British national and Rola in Wales I’m going to go out in the limb here ir and say you’ve never raced in Rola uh nope nope okay George madley crosses the line second placey sort of brought that back towards the end but 2.5 seconds what a run from H Walker yeah that was a run man he’s definitely kind of been the first one to lay one down and we’ll see if anybody can step up to the PACE the Estonian then Rico May leaves the start hup yeah whenever it rains sometimes we can get those runs that just tend to be a longer sit in the hot seat y you got slightly drier track than the riders that come later in the afternoon 4. 3 seconds back for the Estonian here yeah you can see too that when you go from basically third place back oh de push that rock it looked like I was going to say like neither of those lines on that left hander off cber look particularly enticing the right hand one that he just lost looks a lot longer but the left hand one you’re chucking her in there yeah yeah I was surprised every Rider is just kind of fully committing into that grass line and that’s one of those lines when it starts to get wet eventually that will start to go away but so far they’re making it work yeah let’s get Mo over the line there 7.3 seconds back on that time of Noah Walker yeah a few of those mistakes down low kind of cost him those last few seconds Marco lamaris for propan positive then on the propan team set up by Phil Atwell these guys plenty of skills to burn that’s kind of the prerequisite for getting on this squad 3.6 seconds fck yeah some amazingly talented Riders on that team usually when it gets wet yeah you can see it’s it’s we’re right on that edge right now it’s Hopefully the rain will hold off just a little longer at least through the rest of these Junior men’s final so the track will stay pretty even where are you on odd gloves where do you stand I’d imagine you’re a man who’s got opinion about odd gloves uh I i’ say run whatever you want to run really yeah I have no superstitions or no anything I’m like yeah mismatch it up do whatever you want I just couldn’t do it it’s wrong lamaris stand over the line 7.4 seconds back off H [Music] Walker so not a lot of mud on the Jersey which is good A lot of these Riders will run a fender on the front you can see it attached to their Fork there and that will help keep a lot of that kind of spray off the front wheel off your face makes uh your vision a lot easier to deal with when you don’t have water flinging off your tire all the time Oscar griffi for intense Factory R and gets a move on to 2.4 seconds back for the young Englishman holds that line nicely around there full commitment on the intense Spike yep that was really nice yeah and he’s pulling back some time really good qualifying run been looking good all weekend here bit of a breakout ride potentially to get his season kind of underway after Fort William full of big big talent that intense Factory racing Squad oh manages to make it work Griff now on the gas heading towards the line let’s get him down and over it second place just 1.7 by back off that time off Walker so there he is all right the Brits are 1 two three y that’s uh seen this before I was just about to say that you shouldn’t generalize about W weather item but it’s too consist not to here’s another one H rorn for Canyon Collective fmd entertain this all in Fort William with uh some big big sands over the jumps icorn what the split’s going to say for him today 3.5 seconds back holds that edge all the way around yeah some great rides coming out of this Canyon team with his teammates aorn still [Music] moving oh he goes down that’s a tricky one we saw uh it looked like Oscar started to push the front the last Rider as well there’s actually two lines you can’t see on camera there’s the line that kind of started us off a few days ago and it got completely blown out and a new rut started to form inside of it but you really got to be patient to make sure you’re slotted into that or you’ll get sucked into the old line Lucas toora them for the gravity Collective leads a start H yeah you get the feeling one of these one of these days icorn is going to hook one up and it is going to be very very fast when he does but this is looking quick to me half a second into the green for Lucas Dora wow impressive great run this this boy had a crash I believe it was him at Fort William in practice that was a half a second box sorry AR yeah very impressive to walk away from that one but man what a ride tricky conditions oh that’s an epic line I was just going to say there’s three lines there you can Gap over that middle stump but man the commitment he might pull that half a second back after doing that let’s see then the goes fastest by 500s of a second was that the difference that was the difference yep yeah you can check up and kind of go Rider’s left or you can just send it over that rut but as you see that’s a that’s a high level of commitment at the end of a run it’s a big old gble superb camera awareness at the Finish Line as well loer then leaves star the [Applause] [Music] Frenchman first fast Frenchman we’ve seen on track today the French not in the wet heer what can he someone up at he 12.9 back at the third split so may well have been down somewhere yeah I was just going to say he’s got a bit of dirt on the side and he kind of looks a little less motivated than usual must have went down up there in the second split yeah it’s unfortunate looked like he was on Pace at the first split as well just 500s of a second leads the race there’s the French national champion Milan FAL Goodman Santa Cruz Rider yeah this man had a good good run yesterday and the qualifier be interesting to see what he can put down oh yeah 1.6 seconds Foster at the third split for FAL FAL flying here a yeah what a ride this is awesome I just so happy to see the course holding together and the r not getting too crazy it looks like we’ve got good Fair conditions for everybody Junior man’s downhill keeps us on our toes doesn’t it it’s a FY old set this yeah and these guys are all so good it just depends on the day man the order it’s you could kind of throw a blanket over I feel like the top 15 any of those guys could place anywhere at any 3.1 seconds a split for FAL is absolutely hauling here yeah we’ll see what line he picks down here yeah kind of takes the more conservative left line but he’s got enough time to play with here where I don’t think it’ll affect them here’s 24 from Fort William that one didn’t go his way but this one’s looking pretty good FAL goes fastest by 2.9 seconds wow ahead of Lucas Dora I like every time you think somebody sets the bar and you’re like wow that’s going to be a hard time to beat somebody else comes down you stop saying it now I’ll stop saying it because it’s just so hard to do in Junior look at that commitment goes inside there yeah inside the Halles that was a cool camera shot the dirt looks good there through that this man like Raphael kambi was uh was pointed out to me by none other than Ry Cunningham at the bottom yesterday saying that he’s a top pilot um apparently he’s one of uh lauron Del or’s latest fines and that man can pick them he can pick him yeah that was impressive we saw that inside doubling in there yesterday in the elite men’s uh semis but I haven’t seen somebody hold the inside on the right and then still hold the inside on the left that was that was impressive so this man has won a UCI World Cup already on his Enduro bike in chatel at the end of last season in the under 21 ranks so one of those big allr talents that France does so well Max speaking of which Max alin’s next not slow aler yeah you got to believe too if he’s a strong uro Rider he’s probably not going to give away too much time here at the bottom where the track he’s going to be strong up here isn’t he up this pedal yeah you can see him digging here there’s a couple options of jumps coming in the open there one of the bigger ones makes you work for it little flat there that looks uphill on camera so actually pretty flat but we saw yesterday during the qualies and the semis a gear selection he’s coming in here hot this is everywhere yeah gambi over there safely let’s see what the four split says 1.4 seconds back so it’s getting away from him yeah was fast through there F yeah he’s definitely fully committed in this run neat neat and tidy through there didn’t go for the highrisk maneuver from the top rope but gets it done gamai heading down towards the line the Frenchman what is he going to stop for J racing stops the clock second 1.4 seconds back so good indicator as to how good to run not run of fou W yeah that is going to be a tough one to beat but if somebody’s going to do it this might be it this might be the man to do it Max allun for common s muck off by riding addiction one of the two twins his brother went fastest yesterday you can bet he went to bad thinking about that last night yep yeah looks like the rain is kind of starting to come down a little bit more here again see him sliding around in oh no oh big big impact for Ren oh good to see him seems like he’s okay I don’t know if he’ uh look like he just blew a hand off the bars coming into the into that steep bit I wonder with the rain coming down you get a little water under the glove and things get slick but this could uh this is the danger man here we go ASA veret for Frameworks racing won his first ever UCI downhill World Cup at the first time I asking in Fort William last time out can he go better here in sturk Bike Park he’s going to have to try to be patient here he’s got to be smart he’s got the speed to uh make this happen I think the challenge for ASA is just keeping it on two wheels what are we going to see from vermet today we’re in the two-minute gaps now vermet in that blue GoPro helmet you can see the mud the ruts forming up up the top that will Mar the list man in the overall points leader best had a crash yesterday as why he’s starting further down had the bike stolen in Milton kees team manager n Ali flew home to get new frames for them all so he’s half a second back at the first split yeah I think that’s all right just got to stay in touch here Ace has got so much talent on a bike he can kind of turn it up and make time where he needs to but it’s uh yeah the tracks looking slick right now I never realized before our interview with him earlier in the week that he did seven runs of Fort William in practice oh yeah we were just talking about Juniors being Keen to ride a bunch and just stoked on everything and this boy loves to ride his like if you check out his Instagram he can do back flips and all kinds of crazy stuff he pretty much just rides all day every day and it definitely shows and uh you know just watching him ride a bike how talented he is it’s funny we just chat with Nik malali the team manager and he was telling him he was telling us about how he has to tell him n again you know maybe just chill out a bit you don’t have to ride as much as you do 610 of a second quicker at the second split yep it’s coming down and as this track gets a little more technical down here I would expect him to be really strong oh ver y through that right hand rope he’s got to get it to the bottom here just kind of keep this pace and flow up absolutely no holding this man back in 2024 is ofet heads towards the third split L nearly 60 km n for the spe 2.2 seconds I was going to say it’s hard to pick this apart he looks like he’s doing everything right ASA veret is picking this track apart here in sturk bike park pedling through that flat section over the duck boards what is the the four split going to tell us he’s a strong Rider too so you’ll see him digging hard on the pedals here coming out of this tight turn ran really really dark goggles yesterday to help with the tap of light not a problem today pushing a big gear there it’s really raining heavily now towards the bottom of the course so maybe a little more drag on the tires as he start to fill up with dirt let’s see him through this High commitment Leander yeah nice and steady there got to be pretty still on the bike there to get the thing to track oh yeah 3.5 seconds faster at the four split it’s a vermet see if he gets the double here over the stump I’d guess he does yep oh dances his way through that doesn’t do it justce how steep and Technical that section is is of veret is heading towards another hot seat appearance is it going to be two on the points for the is of 3.8 seconds faster the Milan FAL all right there we go he’s doing what he needs to do man when it matters he’s uh he’s getting the bike to the Finish shock looking faces on that hot seat I don’t know if you saw yeah it’s always a bummer when you lay down a run and you’re like yeah it’s good and somebody comes down and kind of smokes it you’re like oh no but that was uh that was a good run well controlled top to bottom I didn’t even see any mistakes controlled is the word it does look ragged at all Danny parfett now from BNC racing a Fort William na have had a great time out at his local track last time can he come up with an for Ace of our met today slam into that corner so hard there’s a 1.7 back at the second split this is a good time I mean he’s in touch for a Podium we’ll see what he can do we know acea made a lot of time through this split right here yeah the top three covered by 5.3 seconds so and inside that will be good enough to get Daniel parfit up into the top three has nice through there got that little double out extra pump it’s coming in here hot carrying really good speed parfit for all of them yeah he’s kind of finding little backsides you see him kind of pull up trying to find little areas to pump and generate a little bit more that’s kind of for William isn’t it that’s that sort of the AR to ride in that track off camber through there nasty parpet makes short work of it through the double bridge section now back out onto the flat now a good through there it’s hard to make that section look good on the gas hard here looks like the rain’s really starting to come down a little bit absolutely no choice but to just full commitment pin as he hit into that left hander bike got kicked on the way in yeah 4.7 back at the four split for parfit but it’s looked good Aon it does look good I’m wondering if the track’s starting to go away a little bit it starts to look like it’s getting past that hard pack level in the open and getting a little softer with the rain he’s definitely making the most of it here [Music] though 5.5 seconds back at the finish line so par goes in the fourth [Music] place R Cunningham’s just messaged to say he’s Blown Away by that run for vermet he said actually track side it’s so slick that that level of commitment yeah you can see it’s bucketing down at the top n y it is uh maybe going away from us a little bit but I mean ASA was just a couple Riders ago and he made it happen so we know it is out there but it’s going to be hard to get well this man ran Isa for met as close as anyone did in Fort William Luke Wayman second place there last time out what has he got in store and B scwa nice inside line there that’s a big verier toota Norton straight line isn’t it yeah 2.3 seconds back at the second split L for Wayman so it’s going to require a bit of magic down L it’s crazy to see the composure of these Juniors like how good they are how precise I I think the days of Juniors just I mean they still hang it out for sure but this kind of Reckless style it’s it’s definitely changing man these kids are very precise so we got Tomlinson up next and J Who Griffith and T Olin fastest yesterday in qualifying yeah and this is the next wave I mean these are the kids that going to be fighting for these big Factory rides when they go Elite in the next year or two depending on their age uh some really cool things it sounds like coming up with the schedule and the sport the next couple years so these rides are important this year to put down some good results and give yourself a chance on a big program yeah and it feels like the factory teams are really sarting to to take Junior racing back under they warnings as well and everyone needs a fast Junior now yep I mean it’s important it’s it’s kind of going the way of other sports right you find these kids when you’re young you help develop them you give them the opportunities and and you got to kind of make the commitment early cuz if not you’re going to miss your shot as a team owner and they’re going to be locked into a long contract so it’s uh but also as you say like I mean no disrespect to anybody they are a lot of them like having big puppies around the place aren’t they as well like they just lift everybody lift the mood lift the energy fourth place for Wayman then not his day to day off the free bom Podium yeah good time good points nothing to be too bummed out with that one Gavin Tomlinson the gravity Collective then come on Gavin I really like this kid we uh spent a little time in the pits yesterday before his qualifier he came over to hang out him and Mikey art Jr are good buddies they ride and train together a lot and he’s like man I’m really nervous and I was like it’s all right buddy yeah he hold on to it 5 and a half back then so far for Tomlinson B getting swapped up through that steep section let’s see if he goes to the straight line no hits the rock yeah it be interesting to see how Gavin kind of handles these conditions he’s a California kid it’s uh you know sometimes California night there little tricky yeah but we mentioned it at the top of the show didn’t weever you get this little bubble we saw in the elite men’s group with the French riders that came through verier bruny Peron kons they all came through together the us at the minute there’s a click there that all ride together they race each other every week it’s just driving them all on yeah kind of a lot of these Riders actually in the last five we’re going to see come down the hill here him Ryan Dane uh they all ride and kind of race and travel around together a little bit they all push each other yeah it’s hard to tell right now he looks like he’s just a click off it’s I was trying to look and see if he had maybe a flat or a slow leak or something but 8.2 back for Tomlinson at the minute yeah something just not quite clicking for it is so hard in these conditions when you kind of have a little bit of a scary moment and things start to slide around and then you you maybe rush it a little bit to try to make the time back and you make more mistakes and it’s it is really tough in these kind of 10 point yeah it’s gone back for him a wee bit again Tomlinson but it’s been full commitment from the gear oh gets that double that was nice yeah it’s hard to make that it’s nrow it’s narrow on Landing there isn’t it it is full commandment if you’re going to go for that it’s l run as well thinon well it won’t be fast enough but it was extremely extremely good 13.8 back on as of veret what a run from vermet I get a feeling that’s a sentence I’m going to use a lot in the next coming years or so but yeah get used to it I think when he goes Elite it might be more of the same yeah and he’s got that big tall fre him as well hasn’t he which means a bit more muscle could be strapped onto it Dan do it then pivot Factory racing the Canadian leaves the Star Hop yeah Dan another one of those riders that next wave coming up I really like watching this kid ride him and his brother both so good on a bike again big tall rider uses his knees really well uses his lower body as well as the top half 1.9 back at the second split though for J so far yeah tucking in here yeah he’s had a he’s had to go through some adversity already this year he’s kind of switch bikes last minute right before the World Cup started kind of had to figure some things out and it’s so good to see the consistency out of him really good races back home in the states and uh first World Cup of the year I think on the podium so Dane definitely starting out the year strong and he’s in touch here free to go after this Hooter Griffith and Allin word from the bottom that tell Alin tell allin’s brother Max is okay after that big slam we saw him take earlier on in the race where he kind of hit a tree yeah good to see him okay yeah you can see Dan really working for all this time here he’s tucked or he’s paddling there no waste of time on the track canar ther is giv me the fear 4.9 seconds back for he pedal that flat turn up there and you can hear it you can hear the tires are kind of starting to stick to the ground it’s getting a little softer out there that was fast that was fast through there as I say it’s so narrow the exit of that on Landing he’s fighting for a Podium here he’s got to finish strong so J comes down the line go for gets that Podium worked his way back into that really well botom 4.6 back on vermet 4.6 back on vermet with a lot more rain about Aon great run for really good run I love when a rider fights for it all the way to the finish too you can see it I mean that would have been a Podium there if he wouldn’t have pushed so hard all the way to the line push hard through that and then got on the inside avoided the holes super inside actually here we go then top three Mike Hooter for the GX Factory racing Squad Swiss Rider we’ve been talking about for a couple of years now on the verge of a big result could today be the day he gets that big gam lit up let’s go let’s go right from the start a yeah that’ll wake you up that is definitely a focus finder there ho yeah and this man’s had some big runs last year as well couple really solid rides we say it about every race too but his bike and Fork setup is uh a traction is at a premium today and that that thing can find traction and he’s a 10th of a second yeah man you can tell he’s going for it I think it’s going to take that the foot off the wrong foot off keeps going he’s got little the course there I think no he’s good he just went the the be line around the jump but shouldn’t get disqualified for that that’s fair game but probably lost a little time what a save Mike Hooter throwing in the kitchen sink and his Gams at this one so far yeah I was just going to say I think if you’re going to challenge ASA for a win you’re going to there might be a you’re going to have to push it I think yeah he goes wide there Cuts back to the inside of that big Leander seems like he’s kind of gathering it back together though nice to see these middle sections of the track on camera now kind of gives you a good look at what they’re going through G the company that manufacturers the belt drive on that bike putting up a big prize purse for the first Rider to win a UCI Doo World Cup on a belt drive bike I don’t know if that extends to Juniors but Mike fast coming into there looking like he may have just already put a deposit on a speed Bo let’s go two and a half seconds back at the second split though you can’t see it on your screens but Aon just had to move back from the screen no lack of effort here yeah jumps through there Mike Hooter definitely the best we’ve seen of him so far are nearly 60 km an hour yeah and he’s actually pulling back a little time in what was Ace’s strongest seor of seconds using every millimeter of the track there yeah he’s got to be careful through here I was just going to say if you come in too fast on those as he start to slide that was that was Radical he going to have some of those emergency wakeups in the middle of the night this evening yeah man this is exciting to watch I don’t think he needs any of that track site encouragement much he’s getting it ho 2.3 seconds back at the third split what’s number four going to say yeah you’re saying to really cool that belt drive on that bike so it’s basically a rubber belt as we’ve seen in some other Motorsports and motorcycle cool to see the development happening on a couple of these teams 4.2 back yeah it’s just been a bit too ragged this from Hooter but it’s been great to watch yeah a little tough we talked about I think in Dan’s run you can kind of hear the tires are sticking that open stuff’s getting a little soft it’s going to be pretty oh no oh no who her down hard in that left hander before the final Gap man oh that is not the reward he deserved for a with that level of commitment he rode the bll the whole way down there Aon yeah he almost made it home yeah that’s such a bummer what a run man he can definitely be proud of that one regardless of what the results are going to say hopefully he’s okays like he is yeah thank goodness for that just the way he stayed stationary there maybe just taking his breath here we go talk through you’ll see the front push here so he’s on this inside line that you can’t quite see and uh as it gets slippery and the rain starts to get through the trees that line will start push over the top of the BM and if you over commit to it it’s you get yourself into trouble there well it’s ver FAL J as it stands Here Comes Ryan Griffith two to go now pivot Factory racing well represented in the junior classes Ryan Griffith another Rider you know well yep yeah he spent some time out at Windrock riding and training with Dame this offseason at the national and uh really cool kid man such a cool style on a bike too he’s so tall moves around on the bike a lot here we go what’s the split G tell us he’s for ATT so he is in touch with ver but there’s a lot of track to go yeah yeah breakout ride for him yesterday I mean he sat in the hot seat for a long time yesterday before he got beat um yeah Squamish kid too I believe with Dane up there riding so he’ll be familiar with these types of conditions in the wet no shortage of great riding in Squamish yeah you’re not kidding there I’d never been there till a couple weeks ago and I was like what have I been doing my whole life not coming up here so good but yeah awesome to see Ryan kind of finding this Pace now one to go after him till Allin fastest qualifier from yesterday that was really good speed coming out of that laugh too A lot of the guys have been fighting that next straightaway he kind of just cruised right through there he set it up kind of by going a little wider more patient coming in but it really paid off on the exit big strong Rider see what he’s got here it looks like it’s getting a little further away from him but he’s still in touch this is a really good run he’s definitely on Pace for a for a Podium maybe a second but I mean we’ve seen Riders even a to pull back some time here in the middle so see what he can do yeah TR running a bit slower than yesterday but Griffith threading the needle through there nicely yeah that was nice getting the double in that’s that is tight man you were right on that compression on Landing is full on so good strength from Ryan Griffith anchors up into this next deep section OHA yeah kind of pushing the edge a little bit there I think it’s crumbling that edge just slightly giv away 1.8 back at the third split yeah we’ll see if he’s a big strong Rider if he can put the power down here we’ve seen Riders kind of start to lose a little bit of time down here in this last quarter of the track see if Ryan can uh he’s got the legs to pull it through he’s got to get on the gas here yeah so free at point2 was the fastest quality time yesterday for T alen so cool to see the fans show up this weekend man you never know you come to a new country new venue and uh it’s been so cool to see the fans passion for the sport they’ve been flooding here from early doors yeah we’re seeing it again seconds yeah that flatter section there did some damage down the bottom didn’t he I mean top to bottom but really when the second half of the track he got a rle on who whoa whoa Ryan griffi just has to go around to drop both axles Breaking Free on them heads off the final Road gap down the line Ryan Griffith crosses it seven oh man 5.8 back on a of ver mat one to go I just going to say that the hard thing too is as soon as somebody blows the rut out and goes off the track it’s gone it’s uh now it’s only going to be worse and you’re not going to know about that as a rider when you drop in and that is I guess where the elite teams come in where they do have spotters up and down the track you have other teammates to let you know things at the top here we go though tail Allin fastest yesterday with a 38 current fastest time he’s going to have to find 5 seconds if he wants to beat is of verit but this man’s bag of tricks pretty deep Tied by many as being the real deal and up there with vermet really in terms of uh who we’re going to be talking about for the next couple of Seasons yeah definitely another one of those Riders Max comma definitely knows how to pick him him and his brother both have that kind of signature common style it looks like just elbows out up the corner and deal with whatever happens after that and and the all white Factory common sou Squad just Cor himself off that Gap oh man he’s in touch here he’s real close yeah he’s 300 a second in touch with Isa veret he’s like a mini PE on isn’t he just just he slots down behind the just going to say that even the way he moves his legs around on the bike he looks so familiar yeah these two brothers they’ve kind of graduated from local bike park groms to buding International Superstars off the sport you can see why with riding like this that was nice hopped higher that that breaking right the right hand side of the track Cuts in in the needle clever clever boxing here from T alen still got dust in the trees here yeah you’d need that crazy how it mixes around you would need that you can see actually visibly there where the trees start and stop yeah the rain looks like it’s stopped again here so so he’s 1.4 back then on the second split to Allin but that was good through there yeah that was fast section where his brother had some issues no no issues there didn’t look like did you see hel Wilson through that High Line tis that straight line through there did you see hel Wilson through that previous section on theable well Aon I’ll finish this one as Aaron Gwyn departs we focus on this one 2.3 seconds back till Alon at the third split so it’s looking like a big ask if he wants to meet beat as of veret today can he get himself on the podium though he’d have to go within 4.6 seconds off him to take that spot off Dan J So currently on for a top three at the minute look at FAL through that first sector was great at 40.5 here we go though Alin homing in on a Podium 14 for Fort William didn’t go his way who turns in hard there just under 50 km an hour 3.7 back at the fourth split so still on for a top three here for Ren if he wants his debut UCI downhill World Cup Podium he needs to get this next section [Music] cleanly Oren on the gas all attack heads towards the line fourth place narrowly misses out on that Podium but the headlines are going to be all about this man ASA vermet marches on in Poland two UCI downhill World Cup races two wins vermet undefeated in 2024 at International level despite breaking a hip just a few weeks before round one you couldn’t rate it I confidently predicted we might see him the second half of the Season how wrong can you be FAL 3.8 seconds in off your winner as of met then Dean third 4.6 back then it was alen Giambi Wayman parfit Griffith Dora Noah Walker’s time held up superbly for a 10th Place Oscar Griffiths great run for him in 11th then madley crano Williams Vogel Sloan Meek Tomlinson mble lamaris haiser black crash 19 seconds back still yet to see the best of him this season Max Alin is apparently okay after his big slam into a tree but look at the facial expressions here AA Cool Cal collected just quietly going about the business of being the fastest in the world on that framework racing machine here he is your winner ASA was very much on the attack today there was just no stopping you how important was it for you to back up that win from Fort William and get the victory again today I mean I really wanted to it was uh it was a loose run I honestly didn’t think I was in the lead in the beginning it wasn’t the best run I was sliding all over the place in the woods I just kept pedaling in the Box and I guess it worked out we’ve seen a few crash outs the weather has caused a bit of chaos what is it like to race down that run uh it was good in my qualities I did crash so it was maybe a bit lucky I wasn’t in like the pouring rain it was maybe a bit before but uh it was a good run the woods were still pretty dry for me so it was and for anyone who hasn’t been following your story on social media the context of this win is huge as well because it’s been a tough week for your team yeah right after Fort William Nico was driving through London and we got our bike stolen out of the van and uh we haven’t been able to find them yet but Nico flew back to the US and got us bikes right before this race and it was so worth it well done today thank you Isa veret just got it done top to bottom here in sturk bike park it doesn’t seem to no matter what sort of track it is or what the Weller’s [Music] doing this man’s not messing [Music] about here’s confirmation of the standings in 120 perfect points for the is ver Luke Wayman is in second then Dean J is in third Daniel parfit’s up in fourth then it’s till alen in FAL Griffith madley Walker and alen round at the top 10 Ambi off an 11th half like good result today Lindora Hooter Clark Griffiths Ryder Lawrence in 16th Gavin Tomlinson in 17th L Alano in 18th Morgan Williams is in 21st just I say the top 20 Rory Meek 25th [Music] currently an absolutely superb Junior men’s race here is how the sector time broke D vermet fastest and two and four interestingly D was the quickest through that really really steep technical final push FAL was the quickest through the first but yeah look at those stage two and stage four comparison sorry excuse me sector 2 sector 4 comparisons Mike Hooter though fair play him fastest in sector three before it all went wrong in the final fin sector five some run from Hooter that absolutely superb the swis rider well we’re getting ready for the junior women’s Podium pleas three very much starting to look like the future off to Hill [Music] Racing hel Wilson absolutely ladies and gentlemen fantastic through the second half of that [Music] R see the strap it on her hand still not quite 100% off in practice in for William so scarily more in the tank for Wilson in third place from T Factory racing gravity It’s s Sasha arnesto reward and track Factory racing gravity with another Podium as desite the condition she is a Podium contender Sasha erest Sasha Ernest third place today van got a talent on the books in Heather Wilson wison and Sasha Wilson Van Len and Ernest your top three inwa here are the standings then for the UCA D Hill World Cup Junior women Wilson Ernest van Len who boss Melton kushman Mills Jack L Bor injured earlier in the week ster in 10 Amia dud sadly missing out on our home R not making it [Music] through definitely one she will have been targeting for quite some time [Music] [Applause] Junior man night foring [Applause] [Music] up getting ready to head to the [Music] podiums C filling up nicely here in sturk bike park just along the road from Bas tone itself [Music] [Music] so Broly’s down for the time being Moran is predicted and this is kind of a Dill’s worst nightmare when it won’t commit to doing one thing or the other looking pretty dry out there at the [Music] minute Rider’s pretty clean as well giv a good indication that track’s holding [Music] up for the time being but if we get anything like the dumper we had on Friday evening here in Poland that will change very very [Music] [Music] quickly Crow and Riders making a way to the top now as we get ready to go Elite racing here at the second round the whoop UCI M bik World Series UCI downhill World Cup D third place today [Music] there’s no stopping this man as of a [Music] map ladies and gentlemen here is your award ceremony the UCI World C J here in third place first Great race
You've deleted all the bad comments and you are left with only 1 good one? Embarrassing
Would be nice, for those who don't know the sport, if you mentioned who the commentators are.
I like how Asa isn’t a shirt tucker
I loke that the live chat is just people whining.😅😅😅
Get ROB WARNER and Arron Gwin to commentate. Everybody wants it. Tell me I'm wrong. Come on Discovery Channel you know it makes sense. How can you be so stupid? No offence to Ric, but, Rob and Arron would bring in so many more viewers. Rob Warner is the best DH commentator hands down, we all know this. Rob Warner IS downhill full stop.
Is it possible to watch elite category, too?
Congrats Asa!
If only the seniors got the same airtime on YouTube
UCI, sort it out! Subscribed to Eurosports/Discovery Plus via Amazon. You show the womens final but not the mens? ???
Are they trying to kill DH?
Way to go ASA! Keep Charging. 💥💥💥
Asa says it was a loose run! He seemed like one of the most controlled and smooth riders out there! Solid riding from Asa!
Lame track 😂
Asa is soooo smooth
Way to go broadcasting the juniors. Too bad you have completely block out the entire US. How much money can I pay to watch this live?? Discovery+ told me if I am not in Europe, I can’t watch the race!! WHAT A JOKE!!!!! GIVE IT BACK TO REDBULL!!!!
Chur Luke chur Rory ⛳
So many ungrateful people in this world. At what point do mtbikers think they are entitled. W…ers!!
Bring back Rob Warner….he is the voice of DH.
