  1. And christmas came early, they threw in the power meter too. That was an extremely pleasant surprise.

Assembly is embarrassingly simple, but I did carefully inspect the bike in bright sunlight for any imperfections and then retorqued every bolt with a high quality digital wrench…and did find a few were not correctly tighten; but likely not an issue. Also found tools included were 2-3 NM off.

At the end of the day, you’ve got yourself one of the best bikes on the market and certainly the best value. Better by all accounts than the new version!

The only changes/updates that I recommend are to install a 34 tooth cassette, a new saddle (but that’s highly variable), new/better bar tape, and if you prefer more speed and a better ride, swap out the tires for 32 Continental GP 5000. Although I reflexively upgraded my wheels to the new Ultegra C50s, the stock ones are actually terrific! And last but not least, because I use full synchro mode and just came from a SRAM bike, I installed a chain catcher.

Another feature of this version is the ability to progressively lower the stem and this will get you the most bang for your buck in performance while not overstressing you neck or back.

    Enjoy!!!
