I have a small scratch on the rim of my wheel, right where the brake pad touches. When you run your finger over it, it feels a bit sharp. Any ideas on what I can do? Sand it down? Thanks π

I would hit that with 400 grit sandpaper wrapped around a thin squared stick. If you’re careful, you’ll barely touch the flat areas, and with such fine grit, will not affect them much, anyway. I think it can be done with the tire in place, but dismounting it may be easier.

A utility knife could take off the high points.

It would be easier with tire off.
A fine file would work quite well.
If you leave it alone, it will eat up your brake pads.
