Merry Christmas my lovely lady lovers I thought today that I would do something maybe a little ambitious it is to run through a list of every safic film and TV show that I know of that came out in 2023 I thought this would be a useful list for you guys to know what came out this year and to see if there’s anything that you’re interested but you’ve missed first we have the last of us which is a television series about a global pandemic which destroys a civilization a hardened Survivor taking charge of a 14-year-old girl who may be Humanity’s Last Hope the 14-year-old girl is Ally who happens to be queer and she has a wee bit of a romance with her Crush Danny this only appears in one episode however but the show is really good and it feels like a pretty fresh take on the zombie apocalypse next we have the Portuguese film the last party or a Ultima Festa and the write up is as follows this class’s graduation party is full of events dating that ends dating that begins new passions discovered Secrets Revealed the last party doesn’t feel like the end of a cycle but the first night of the beginning of their lives from the trailer it looks like a very queer film we do see women kissing we see men kissing I don’t know anything more about it other than that since I haven’t seen it in fact I haven’t seen a lot of what’s on this list but it seems like a bit of a romp and maybe you want to check it out next we have NCIS Hawaii which follows a team of Naval criminal investigators who operate on the Hawaiian Islands I feel like a lot of you will know about this because the peering of Lucy and Kate became wildly popular earlier this year then we have our word generation Q This was season 3 The Final Season where we saw B Shane and Alice with a young generation of ques experiencing love heartbreak sex setbacks and success season 3 got panned pretty hard but the L word is totally iconic I did a recap of all all three seasons so check those videos out if you’re interested in knowing more then we have Gap a wildly popular Thai GL show GL standing for girl love which follows man who meets her Idol Sam the CEO of the company that she is working for there’s an immediate attraction between the two and a steamy romance begins despite the class and age gap between them next we have Jenny and Georgia Jenny Miller an angsty 15-year-old often feels more mature than her 30-year-old mother the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller on the show the characters of Max and Sophie uh safic lovers I don’t know anything about it more than that but I did hear that the show is a bit of a hot mess next we have the TV series Willow 20 years after vanquishing the wicked Queen BM the sorcerer Willow Ood leads a group of Misfits on a dangerous Rescue Mission into the unknown and centers a lesbian love story controversially however the show has now been removed and can no longer be streamed which is something that we may have to come to expect when it comes to content online then we have a Criminal Minds this is a TV show that has been going on for a very long time obviously a crime procedural and in season 16 Tyra Lewis has a girlfriend then we have fire country a young convict joins a firefighting program looking for Redemption and as prison sentence he and other inmates work alongside Elite firefighters to extinguish massive Blazers across the region one of the firefighters is queer and does have a relationship in season 1 then we have a stupid wife which is a web series from Portugal just like Gap the series is insanely popular it’s also very gay Louisa sees in Valentina all the flaws she believes someone can have and hates her one day however Louisa wakes up to find herself 10 years older and to her horror married to Valentina next we have the formal which follows two girls who are planning their formal at their school and as they do so they start to fall in love what’s interesting about this one is that the first few seasons are actually on Tik Tok and they transitioned onto YouTube for season 4 the makers of the formal have also started releasing a new web series called touch it follows star touch footy player Cameron as she discovers that her girlfriend Leia who is also a teammate on their Champion touch footy team cheats on her with another member of their team and to extract Revenge she decides to ditch her winning team and join another one but sadly for the highly competitive Cameron her new touch team can’t remember the last time they won a game black cake is a TV series where decades after bride kovi disappears in the ocean under mysterious circumstances a flesh Drive will change Elanor Bennett’s life forever one of the leads Matilda is a seic lady in that next we have the latest season for Harlem where Ty Quinn and Isabella are all Queer characters this is a six in the city style television series and half of the Friendship group are queer how very G them then we have a blue jean which is a film that came out about a closet a teacher in the80s sometimes you’re just in the mood for that hard-hitting award-winning style film making then we have show me love which is not that ’90s Swedish film but it is a Thai series which revolves around a Thai beauty pageant at the very center of the story are two women who are competing together and there is definitely some chemistry between them the two lead actresses are actually beauty pageant contestants and in real life there was a whole kind of real life shipping thing that was going on and they made it a television series around it onto gree rise of the Pink Ladies and like Willow this television series was released and then removed from streaming all within a very short period of time but I do have to say guys there are ways to find things if you get my drift this of course is in the same universe as the Greece films a brainy Misfit sees her reputation decline in her popularity rise when she runs for student council president amongst the Pink Ladies is a gal and she gets a bit of a romance when she is forced to join the drama group then there is the TV miniseries tiny beautiful things which follows a woman who reluctantly becomes de sugar an anonymous and revered advice columnist even when her own life is falling apart her daughter happens to be queer and possibly polyamorous and we get to see that on screen then we have season two of single drunk female which follows Samantha Fink who after a spectacularly embarrass rassing public breakdown is forced to move back home with her overbearing mother to sober up and avoid jail time Samantha is by and she does have a female love interest in season 1 with many other queer characters in the show then we have a welcome to Eden season 2 which is about a group of young adults who attend a party on a remote island but the tempting Paradise they find waiting for them holds dangerous secrets and entrapments zoa and Bell are a seic couple on the show and I was seeing a bit of Buzz about them earlier this year then we have season 2 of the TV series from which is a thriller horror which apparently has a by character even though I think the romance that she is having is with a guy and there is a fluid girl in the mix there so I’m not sure how gay it really is but this is what the synopsis says and revel the mystery of a city in the middle of USA that imprisons everyone who enters as the residents struggle to maintain a a sense of normality and seek a way out they must also survive the threats of the surrounding Forest so a bit of a post-apocalyptical thriller horror Style TV show for a totally different vibe we’ve got Gray’s Anatomy and I’m not quite sure what season we’re on right now but this year we did have Amelia and Kay and then I think there’s also Micah and Helm with seix story lines I feel like everyone knows what graze Anatomy is about but if you don’t it’s about a group of doctors in a hospital and it looks at their professional and personal lives within the same universe we have station 19 which follows the lives of firefighters Maya and Karina are the major lesbian couple on the show and have been going strong for the last few seasons then we have the TV show Good trouble which is a spin-off of The Fosters in good trouble we follow a couple of Steph and Lena’s kids as they go about living their lives as young adults so we naturally get Steph and Lena making an appearance but we also have Malika one of the main characters and she does have a romance with Angelica next is Yellow Jackets which looks at a wildly talented High School girls soccer team who become the Unlucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Canadian wilderness we had season 2 releasing and well when there are such a big group of women together you know there’s going to be some suff Shenanigans again another show that has been super super popular this year then we have the Australian series flunk which looks at high school students Stella ID ingred and Harry who navigate life exploring issues of sexuality drug alcohol use identity and consent ingred is a lady Loving Lady and we definitely get to see a fair amount of that on the show season 4 released this year yuk can live forever came out last year but got a wider release on demand when lesbian teen Jamie is sent to live in a Jehovah’s Witness Community she falls hard for a devout witness girl and the two embark on an intense affair with consequences that will reshape the rest of their lives I don’t think I need to say anything more about how safic it is it’s even in the description the TV miniseries class of 09 is about FBI agents who graduated from quano in 2009 are reunited following the death of a mutual friend one of the leads played by sepid De moafi Falls for Ashley and there is a cute romance that develops over the Eight Episodes Nancy Dre had its final season this year where one of the gang was a lesbian and she did have some lesbian love interests throughout the seasons never have I ever also had its final season this year one of the main characters Fabiola had a coming out story and I think there was a bit more gay in there as well then we have Jagged mind which is a thriller film where Billy is plagued by blackouts and strange visions that lead her to discover she’s stuck in a series of time time Loops possibly related to her mysterious new girlfriend looks pretty gay we’ve got another web series called My Ex’s signs which is Portuguese and it can be found free on YouTube with Subs I don’t know anything much about the show but it is very very gay then there is the film bad girl Boogie where Halloween blood is shed by the wearer of parasitic mask cursed with black magic and bigotry Angel’s friend is killed by a person wearing the same mask mask they must overcome their struggles fight fear find the killer before he Slaughters everyone so a bit of a thriller slasher perhaps body horror and there are seic ladies in the mix we got the next season of and just like that which is the spin-off from Sex in the City I heard that this season was a vast Improvement and we have lead Miranda having a love affair with SH next on the list is deadlock an Australian black comedy murder mystery I reviewed to this recently and it has a lot of queer characters in the mix including the lead double parked is about a lesbian couple who are preparing for the births of their children as they both fall pregnant at the same time heart Stoppers season 2 came out and there are so many ques in that and it follows the lives of a group of teenagers in high school a Filipino film called rookie came out in 2023 which is about how everything changes when an awkward teenager joins the volleyball team and falls for the volleyball team captain only murders in the building season 3 came out which follows three strangers who live in the same New York City apartment building and share an obsession with True Crime suddenly find themselves embroiled in a murder one of those three Mabel played by Selena Gomez happens to be by in season two we got to see her with Kara deine but I don’t know how gay season 3 Got High School Musical the musical the series had its final season and there was a lesbian character in the mix as one of the main characters then we had the TV show shelter which was an adaptation of a book where Mikey lives with a mother in rehab a dead father an annoying aunt in a new school in New Jersey when a creepy old woman tells them that his father isn’t dead Mikey thinks he’s losing his mind his aunt has a love story with her High School best friend when they meet up again and one of his best best friends Emma also happens to be a seic lady unfortunately the series has recently been cancelled so we won’t get to see a follow on from season 1 the film bottoms came out a little bit earlier this year which is about two unpopular queer high school students who Start a Fight Club to have sex before graduation this one has been getting a lot of really good press and because the two leads are queer we know it’s going to be gay AF River had its final season this year and of course Cheryl and Tony have been a staple seic couple throughout the series then we have the film nyad which is about the remarkable true story of athlete Diana nyad who at the age of 60 and with the help of her best friend and Coach commits to achieving her lifelong dream an 110 mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida absolutely insane Diana niyad is played by Annette Benning and the best friend is jod Foster and both of these women are queer so it’s a look at friendship between two queer women for those who loved Orphan Black Orphan Black Echo was highly anticipated and came out this year and explores the scientific manipulation of human existence how very cryptic Kira Manning who was just a kid in the original series apparently is a seic and she’s played by key hor you know from Tipping the Velvet then we have the film you’re not supposed to be here where Zoe and Kennedy a lesbian couple are pregnant and they are in a wood in the cabins for the weekend and it turns out that the locals really don’t want them there we’ve got the Australian series one night which is a story of a three wom whose Bond was all but destroyed by the traumatic events of one night 20 years ago two of the three ladies in this are queer the Buccaneers is a Bridget and adjacent period piece where women go to London in order to find husbands and I believe that one of these women has a lesbian storyline season 4 of For All Mankind came out we have jod bour in a lead role and she is a seic lady on that next we have the film when time gets louder where a girl discovers her sexuality as she is trying to deal with family issues a bit of a drama from what I understand but a lovely lesbian love story Erin’s guide to kissing girls has the lead crushing on the new girl who arrives at school and from the title I would guess she wants to kiss the girl the horror film attachment is about MAA a Danish hasbean actress who falls in love with Leah a Jewish academic from London Leah suffers a mysterious seizure and maer returns with her to London there she meets Leah’s mother China a woman who could hold Dark Secrets Scream Six also came out I guess this franchise will never die and there was a seic lady in the film another seic film killed box soon is about a single mother who is a renowned hired killer who finds it difficult to achieve a balance between her personal and work life her daughter is in the process of coming out the film Hunt Club is a horror and the lead in the film is also gay and needs to get enough money to save her lover we’ve got Helmer a film about the Avant artist who apparently was also a seic lady I had a feeling the TV show dead ringers came out earlier this year with Rachel Vice and is a twisted delightful Tale full of seism it looks at the mantle twins identical from head to toe who are on a mission to change the way women give birth we have the body horror film whoa the bone woman which follows Valeria who has long dreamed about becoming a mother after learning that she’s pregnant she expects to feel happy and yet something is off and Valeria is also queer silver Hayes follows safic Frankie who 15 years after she got burnt when the pub where she slept as a child caught fire seeks revenge because she still hasn’t found any answers along the way she has a bit of a safic romance the crowded room is where in Manhattan in the subber of 1979 a young man is arrested for a shocking crime and an unlikely investigator must solve the Myst behind it before the true criminal strikes again it’s a TV series which features Sasha lene and I believe that she is playing saphic in this EXO Kitty a spin-off of all the boys I have loved before follows the lead who goes to South Korea to be with her boyfriend but ends up falling for a girl talk to me is a horror film where a group of friends discover how to conjure Spirits using an embalmed hand and when they do they become hooked on the new until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying Supernatural forces apparently this is one freaky film a freaky film that has some seic ladies in it The Wheel of Time season 2 came out based on the book series the lead of the Show moirin Dem Madrid is seic and she’s in love with the leader of the isai so we got to see a little bit more of that in this season we got season 3 of The Morning Show which follows the politics of a morning show news program as they try to navigate the changing world around them the lead Bradley Cooper is having a love affair with Laura although things didn’t go quite so well for her this season I did a review on that and I also did a review on the Wheel of Time season 2 so feel free to check those out if you want to know more my animal is a horror film where the lead is a seic lady who is also a werewolf and she for for a girl and due to her feelings struggles to contain her werewolf nature driveway dolls is a road trip movie where the two lead queer ladies get caught up with some bad guys which leads to many Shenanigans I am sure and I think maybe a love story bad things is a movie about a group of friends who go to a hotel for a weekend getaway and soon discover that women do bad things here by bad things I assume they’re not talking about lady Loving Lady activity but I do know there is some safic stuff going on for sure everything now is a TV series that follows Mia who is released from hospital after a lengthy battle with anorexia she is thrust back into the world of sixth form and discovers that she has missed out on a lot of stuff and creates a bucket list Mia is pretty fluid she has many Liaisons and at least one woman is in the mix there The Fall of the House of Usher is a TV series where to secure their fortune and future two ruthless siblings build a family Dynasty that begins to crumble when their ears mysteriously die one by one my understanding is that the lead Vera is a saphic lady the film The persian version is about a large iranian-american family who when they gather a family secret is uncovered that catapults the EST strange mother and daughter into an exploration of the past and to discover they are more alike than they know the daughter Leila is a seic lady although I do know that she does end up getting pregnant to a drag queen I don’t know if she has a safic love story alongside with that next we have a tripped up this looks like a cute Road Trip movie with a group of friends who are going to a food festival and one of the friends in this group is quer then we have neon where a group of friends moved to Florida in order to try and break into the music industry and the leader of the drug cartel there is a lesbian it’s the actress who played Lucy Diamond in Debs this one might be a bit of saphic light but the film slip has a lead who cheats on her husband and every time she wakes up she is married to the person that she cheated with and at least one of them is a woman there was also the French Thriller the origin of evil where a woman on the verge of financial collapse attempts to reconnect with her wealthy estranged father and his new family and I believe she is also gay and this is the final for the TV and film section we have got Beacon 23 this is about a man living in the 23rd Century who works at a remote lighthouse in space that serves as a beacon to help passing ships the lady that he is working with in this Lighthouse I believe is a seic and is played by Lena heii from imagine me and you actually I lied that is not the final entry because I have remembered a handful more we got season 2 of hack which explores a dark mentorship that forms between Debra Vance a legendary Las Vegas comedian and an entitled Outcast of 25 years old the 25-year-old is Ava and she is bisexual we even get to see her going on a lesbian cruise this season swarm came out this year about a young woman’s obsession with a pop star which takes a dark turn the lead Dre is a saphic lady and we also get to see Billy eish playing safic For the First Time season 2 of vigil is currently releasing with Saran Jones and Rose lesli playing two safic characters last season we got to see the two ladies reunite when an investigation on a submarine requires them to work together the season will be a brand new investigation our flag means death had season 2 come out and it has some saphic action in there it follows wealthy land owner Steed Bonnet who has a middle life crisis and decides to blow up his cushy life to become a pirate we also have season two of somebody somewhere where Sam a queer Kansas native who recently lost her sister is joined by her gay coworker Joel and transm mask friend Fred as they try to navigate their average everyday life Monarch a legacy of monsters set after the battle between Godzilla and the Titans revealing that monsters are real follows one family’s journey to uncover its bued secrets and a legacy linking them to Monarch I know that one of the main characters is safic we also have Jen V from the world of the boys another TV show that has had some safic activity it explores the first generation of superheroes to know that their superpowers are from compound V these Heroes put their physical and moral boundaries to the test competing for the school’s top ranking this final one may or may not be gay but it has Natasha Leon in it Clea Duval makes an appearance and Cherry Jones the ex to Sarah porson and who also played gay opposite Brook Shields and what makes a family make an appearance so at the very least it deserves alic attention it follows Charlie who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying she hits the road and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but investigate and solve so that that was a nice long list of film and television but there are more offerings out there reality TV really took off this year we have princess Charming season 3 that came out it’s a German reality TV show very much in the style of the bachelor but I have to say I enjoy this way more than the Bachelor then we have the ultimatum queer love a Netflix series which had a bit of a moment a few months back then there is love always which is a pansexual love dating show we have selling Sunset season 7 which has a saphic lady realtor having her first relationship with a woman then we have the series coming out for love again another lesbian dating show there is brat loves Judy which follows the rapper De Brat and her relationship with her wife Judy apparently it’s a pretty watchable show we also have swiping America America which is a bit of a modern take on The Dating reality TV show and the character of Ash is gay in that and then we have hoochie daddies which is a chbi original where mask women fight out for the title of hoochie daddy in terms of cartoons we had the finale of the ow house where the lead character is queer and she has a lovely romance with a girl we have Harley Quinn’s Valentine special that came out at the beginning of the year and then we had season 4 get release and obviously Harley Quinn and Ivy are a couple then we have neona which is based off a comic series and has been adapted into a film and the lead non-binary character was voiced by Khloe Grace Moretz we also had the finale of disenchantment where Abby Jacobson’s character in season 3 fell in love with a mermaid so she is a seic character she’s also the lead and then onto the final few offerings we have got Planet Six with Cara deline a documentary which looks at all things six and Cara deline is notoriously by so we know we’re going to get some safic representation in there we also had the comedy special Hannah gadsby something special which is her third special on Netflix we have got W Sykes I’m an Entertainer also a comedy special then we have going to ma the Nikki Giovani project it’s a biographical documentary Nikki is queer she’s a poet a writer an activist and an educator so it’s always good to get a bit of an education about the women who have changed the landscape for us younger quar and finally we have got serving in secret which is about the US Army and a look at the lgbtq history this will of course Focus mostly on men because men make up the majority of the US Army but I am sure there are a few ladies there in the mix hopefully you have been making note of the ones
