This week there has been a very silly controversy at the Giro due to Tadaj’s berry coloured bibs and skinsuit shorts. The UCI says it may be illegal and he may have been thrown out due to his shorts! Very weird as he has been given the shorts by the race organisers and the skinsuit looked bellissima to me, much better than an all pink offering. Who was he offending with the shorts anyway? Seems like a fake story for what is a slightly foregone conclusion in the race as all his biggest rivals were injured.
And when did the block colour edict come in anyway? I thought the classic fallback was black shorts plus jersey. So what are you thoughts on colourful shorts and do you mix and match? What colour combos work for you? Or is it black shorts only? What colourful bibs brands can you recommend?
