I'm trying to get the bearings out of this DT Swiss 3-pawl hub. I've been trying to remove the NDS bearing by putting the hub in a vice and whacking the axle on the DS with a mallet (protected by a block of wood). It hasn't budged, and all I've succeeded in doing is getting a chunk of wood stuck in the axle.
I've hit it with some penetrating oil and figured while that soaks in I'd ask the good folks of bikewrench if I'm going about this the right way or not?
