Original owner saw this bike in our shop and bought it back for $10k.

Bit of an interesting story.

I work at a bike rental shop in a tourist town in NZ and a customer saw this bike hanging on our roof and immediately recognized it as his old bike.

He said he used to race it in Italy 30 odd years ago and absolutely loved it, and he couldnt believe he stumbled across it by chance again while holidaying on the other side of the world. He said there were only about 5 of them ever made and his was the only one made in a medium, and he had to sell it to start his first business.

After sharing his stories and history of the bike, he offered $10k to buy it. My afternoon was spent very carefully boxing it up and he flew home with it the next day.

Great guy, can't remember his name but he said it was the biggest highlight of his trip. Ride on dude, enjoy your new old bike again!
