Got my first gravel bike. I haven’t cycled in about 18 years, but I’m pretty stoked to get back into it. I’m a runner, so I’m not worried about the cardio, but I’m just not sure where to start. Guess I just need to get out and ride. Any advice about getting over the anxiety of riding on the roads?

Congratulations! A Salsa was my first bike as well.
Congrats to your nice bike!
Get started with riding by consistently doing it. 3-4 times a week with at least 30-45 minutes should do the trick. Then, you can go longer durations and more demanding terrain.
Regarding anxiety: find more quiet roads for the start or join a group ride of a local bike shop where beginners are welcome. Positive side effects is that you will get tips where to ride best in your area.
Love me some salsas 👌🏼
Awesome bike! Find a trail or some quiet roads on a Sunday morning. You’ll get the hang of it in no time! My best advice for roads is to assume absolutely no driver can see you.
