good morning everybody we just spent our first night in Ukraine the power outage lasted longer than I thought it would it lasted like 4ish hours so we need to start expecting that I noticed they have a bunch of different Pepsi products but they’ve only got regular Coke so you’re eating Pepsi these little Boomerang things look like they’ve got banana pudding in there we’re going to get a couple of them hello three yes we spent $150 I swear to God I think they double charged me again like I go up there I swipe my card the thing spits out for a seat and then they’re like oh wait no no no one more time and they make me swipe my card again like I’m pretty sure they’re just double charging me and the person that’s running the register doesn’t understand that I’m still getting charged for it not a big deal but definitely want to start paying in cash it is full of banana pudding okay that was good I think it is time to hit the road yesterday I thought that building was a high school it’s definitely a military academy let’s head out let’s see how far we need to ride today current location we are going to Lviv 118 miles it looks like so we are not going to get there today unless we find a place to stop and charge along the Route should probably put sunscreen on there we go back on the road it is 10:30 in the morning right now I have a horn I like using [Music] [Applause] it so if you guys had to guess where this app wants me to go wants me to go down there I don’t think we’re going to do that I I don’t think I’m going to trust it but it says that this way is like way off the path so let’s go sit in the shade and figure out what we’re going to do I don’t have data so I can’t reroute hell it says that this is the way so I hate this app so much it’s going to lead us in a dead end now make a new turn yeah this app is definitely going to send me on a land mine follow this way for 2.86 miles yeah this app is definitely going to send me over a landmine just for fun this is where it wants me to go people keep asking me what settings my app is on if it’s on like Street biking or if it’s mountain biking gravel riding no this is street riding it’s supposed to send me on streets but no we get streams instead come on come on there’s a fence in the way but the person is opening the gate for me so that’s cool dude what the you kidding me oh yeah my sunscreen and my mosquito repellent are both gone oh wait I see the mosquito repellent does that mean the sunscreen is back here somewhere or did that fall out earlier $ 17 dollars this thing is trying to send us 2.3 Mi up into that I’m not sure I trust it to not lead me to a dead end it sucks but I think the only option is to just turn around it’s super not worth the risk going another two miles up into this something something sunk cost fallacy this isn’t even public property somebody had to open a fence to let me in here I hope the fence is still open come on come on it is closed again how did she do this I think she pulled this one to the side yeah I think she pushed them to the side God damn it Hills everywhere I can’t stop the bike to put the fence back okay I got the fence put back at least maybe I’ll find my sunscreen while we walk back $17 dollars well hey look at that I just found $17 on the ground you’re traveling in the wrong direction oh am I shut the up okay we’re back on semi- paved roads God I hate this app so much I hope we don’t need to go all the way back I hope that there’s another way through with the road I don’t have any signal up here so my maps aren’t loading I can’t see what roads lie ahead I’ve decided I’m not going backwards so we’re just going to ride straight ahead and hope that we get connection soon so we can figure out if we’re going in the right direction okay I got data and Google map says we need to go back really far I hate this app so much we’re never using it again we’re just using Google Maps that just wasted almost 3 hours of riding time and a whole bunch of energy to climb this mountain all for nothing now we got a backtrack like an hour backward we’re back on paved road so I guess that’s cool hi I am so pissed it’s almost 2:00 p.m. we’ve wasted 4 hours and we’re going back to where we started I found a puppy no come no okay it’s gone okay here we go this is where Google says that we should have gone such a bad mood continue for 89 km 89 km on this road that’s like a lot of [Music] miles I think we are leaving the forest oh hey there’s a spar up ahead or what do they call it Spar there’s a supermarket okay let’s go get some food this is Spar I remember David called it I think spar with like an sh but it’s definitely just an S yeah no sh look at this thing it’s a hot dog roll look at this you get a Coke Zero for 25 crazy oh we can get a ham and cheese sandwich for a dollar I love you crane $3.7 we got a ham and cheese pizza a hot dog thingy a drink a sandwich and some candy for less than $4 this dog wants want food yeah there you go it’s pretty good okay we got food we got drinks it looks like it’s about to rain so we should probably find a place to sleep for the night got to go pop got to find somewhere to hide from the rain I bet this town has an ATM look at that found an ATM hopefully this one works they want to charge me a dollar fee but that’s like five times less than the fees I was paying in Koso so transaction approved 5,000 Ukrainian monies I like the way this feels this feels more like paper than plastic okay Superior King room for $20 it says a private bathroom with a bathtub but looking at the pictures that does not look like a bathtub that looks like a shower okay Google says it is your destination is on the right over here somewhere yes I believe that’s it I’m trying to figure out how to get in there there’s the storefront here that sells like sushi and then the hotel is in the back yeah I can’t read any of their signs I have no idea what any of this means well uh I don’t think that’s it I asked the Barista for help and she’s helping so we’re good so 1,000 of their current is worth about $25 thank you okay this place is pretty nice this is twice as expensive as the last one we paid $20 for this I’ve got my own room and a living room that’s got a mini fridge the only thing that is missing is a bathtub this is not a bathtub but the only thing that’s missing is a laundry or a washing machine so we can do laundry but this is fine this is totally totally good it was a good idea asking the bursta for help because she was the person that manages the whole hotel so that was Nifty now let’s go move all of this up oh yep it’s starting to rain perfect timing there isn’t really a place to lock the bike so I’m going to do that thing where I just lock the wheel to the frame that seems to be working pretty well but we definitely do need to find a place with the washing machine soon there we go yeah I don’t have any clean socks we got to do long soon carrying all of this up the stairs makes me appreciate my bike so much more like I realize how heavy all of my is now I think I’m going to call it an oh there’s an echo in here I think I’m going to call in early night I will catch you guys tomorrow okay I was going to end the Vlog and I decided I’m not going to I still need to wash a bunch of this stuff like I’ve got mud in my shoes and my backpack and you guys get to walk to me wash it when I walk into places I don’t want to look homeless I want to look like somebody that’s not trying to steal their electricity night and day difference okay there we go that’s the end of the Vlog no it’s not so I found that this can sort of make a bathtub if I get really small I can kind of sort of fit in it oh
