  1. Hard to tell from the photo but that looks like a cracked rim. What tends to happen is the brake track wears down over time (sometimes faster due to people not replacing their brake pads when they should) and it wears away the rim which weakens it and it eventually cracks and then – no joke – literally comes apart. Given a new wheel is not a massive outlay I would plan to replace it sooner rather than later, because if it does collapse it will usually take other components with it. On a front wheel, it might take YOU with it…

    Rim is worn (brake track wear) and subsequently cracked (due to tire pressure) and should not be ridden anymore. 

    A (proprietary) replacement rim will either be impossible to find, or excruciatingly expensive.  

    Tl;dr DO NOT BUY this wheelset.
