I got the new stem, steerer tube, bars, thumb shifters and grips in. I also added a sweet little discreet bell on the steer tube. After I was done putting it all together I kind of feel like I may want to switch up for a more raw metal style bar instead of the chrome but these will work for now. Who knows it may end up growing on me. I also need to find a matching wheel set that I like at a reasonable price. Looking over the entire project now I can say I’m about 80% done with the plan I had in mind and little things here and there are bound to pop up. I still need to switch to a 1x 42t crankset and want to update the rear cassette which I can hopefully do whenever I find THE wheel set. Lastly I still want to get the Nitto M12 front rack and a nice basket. Until then here are some photos that I took while out on a ride yesterday with the last one being the photo from the original marketplace listing for comparison.
I picked up this bike on May 2nd and this is how it sits today May 17th. More updates to come. Let me know what you all think!

[These wheels](https://bicyclewheelwarehouse.com/product/sta-tru-tr21-silver-slx-tubeless-v-brake-wheel-set/) are good quality, *tubeless ready* wheels for the price IMO. I have an equivalent set but in 700c. They also come in black but are $50 more. BWW offers a 15% coupon (blue banner, top of the page) that brings the price down to $170 for the set.
Looks great. Love the gum grips tied into the gum wall DTH tires.
