Week 4 of our European Cycle Adventure sees us ride up into the Dolomites, through Trento and Bolzano along the Eurovelo 7 (The Sun route) before taking a few rest days to explore the surrounding area with some hiking and a ride to Cortina D’Ampezzo without our bags. The Dolomites are absolutely incredible, and we weren’t disappointed! They are a must-see on a European Bike tour!

[Music] Monday morning oh it’s about 4 7 one is get an early start today aiming to get to breia for about half1 which is only about 30 km away and then we are getting a train from breia to Tren so if you haven’t been following this is the start of week four of our big European cycling Adventure day 22 Yeah if you haven’t caught the first three videos then do head to the channel and you’ll find them [Music] there okay I’m now in trento got the train up here successfully uh just zipped into town grabbed some camping gas cuz we’re almost out and then had a couple of nice Campari and afro sprits now heading back south towards our campsite look at this scenery unbelievable Tuesday morning we just left our camp site which was the bower Agri camp site just south of trento and it was lovely right in the middle of some Orchards had great showers electricity good Wi-Fi basically everything you want from a campsite we’re heading north today on the ev7 towards Bano and carrying on upwards towards bricken which is just on the edge of the dolomites just a reminder Iz he’s going to be writing a Blog with all of the GPX routes and all of the campsites and stuff in there today’s one for the burs every time we go around the corner it’s just an even better view can’t stop filming something I’ve definitely learned is that they grow a lot of apples here must been cycling past apple orchards for the last like 40 km it’s about half an hour after lunch we stopped in volano for lunch just chased the river and the cyclopath out of volano and slowly heading into the mountains [Music] again this section has a bunch of these really cool tunnels and uh the temperature difference is noticeable when you come out of them the heat just absolutely slaps you in the face but inside they’re nice and cool Wham there’s the heat some reason I can’t get Rocking around the Christmas tree out of my head probably just the heat making me go insane it’s a lot cooler now and it’s actually quite dark clouds ahead bit worrying going to hide in here for a minute we we made it no more rain it’s Wednesday morning now we have our rest day in Brixton and we started off by getting the bus over to the gondola took a beautiful gondola ride up and we are walking with one of the most incredible views in front of us it’s [Music] insane wanted to come to the dollarit for years so happy to finally be here it’s unbelievable rest day complete it’s Thursday morning now tent’s pretty wet uh sporadic thunderstorms yesterday all day so nothing really dried properly it’s how it is we’re doing just under 50 km today fun hot so yesterday’s campsite was quite interesting it was a part of a hotel so there some really nice features to it like a heated swimming pool great showers but the actual campsite element was pretty weird there was flood lights all around the campground that they didn’t turn off overnight so we had one almost directly above our tent so it’s like the middle of the day all night strange not another one I think this is why it’s closed this is fun yeah this is the storm that we escaped in the bottle shop that we hid in clearly hit here pretty hard another thing that makes the uh the tail fin P so great is how easy they are to get off so we’ve just both taken our side Piers off to carry our bikes through here back on the move hopefully without any pine needle [Music] [Music] punctures [Music] yeah it’s about halfast 7 Friday morning and we’ve got our first rest day out of two here in oang we’re going to go out for a hike hopefully see some nice views uh it’s quite a lot of low hanging Cloud which is what we’re headed up into over there still we go up probably see the Peaks just up behind me so that’s you down to the valley and then woo that’s what we’ve been chasing there big Peaks about us so as you know we’ve been primarily camping thought we’d treat ourselves to a couple days in a Airbnb while we’re in the doite a proper bed got balcony an unbelievable view main perk of having a a proper B&B while your cycle touring is been able to do some proper laundry and stuff and obviously everything is all over the place is Saturday our second rest day from oang we’re going for a Leisure cycle bags off the bike feels so weird after having 3 and 1 half weeks of riding with p every time you get out the saddle it feels like you’re about to Tiff the thing over so light I’m struggle to convey how amazing this feeding is just utter weightlessness riding through one of the most incredible values I’ve ever [Music] [Music] seen I love this I don’t know when you guys will be watching this but it’s been the tour to France this week so feeling pretty motivated for these times rber GPS done is a bit dirty here it’s like a 20% gravel incline massive chunks of gravel Another Sunday morning sun shining again just left our Airbnb and we are heading to spital this is arguably the perfect road to cycle about 3% downhill gradient perfect Tac and we have it for about 25 km just gone to 130k for the day longest day on the trip so far so that’s about the end of our fourth week can’t believe that we’ve been on the road for 28 days already as you wed out earlier we’ve covered I think 2,200 km already next up we are heading to lake bled and down to lubana so make sure you subscribe to the channel cuz you aren’t going to want to miss that
