Anyone else have an issue with their seat hitting the rear wheel when bottoming out the shock on a 2021 Pivot Switchblade? How did you fix it?

Either move the saddle forward or lose the “slammed” dropper post by moving it up. Sometimes you’ll have to do both. Also, SDG makes a saddle with a notch that accommodates the rear tire. Whatever you do, fix it, you’re not getting the full travel for your rear suspension by the saddle inferring.

I can’t see if you’re actually bottoming out but it seems real close if not so hopefully you only need a tiny bit more clearance, Clarence.

I would say you could probably cope with lifting the entire dropper up a little, so that when it’s fully down the saddle is just above the ball of your knee. In the photo it looks to me like it’s in the middle of your knee. Personally I find that a lot comfier and less bruising with still loads of space to move just a bit higher. Like when you pinch it with your knees it’s *just* above your kneecap. It’s a comfy spot for me.

But, also agree with moving saddle forward a little. In a perfect world, let the pressure out *slowly* first with the bike on the ground and gently squishing the shock as you do so, so you can see how much it needs to move. Also a good opportunity to service those shock mount bolts because I bet 95% of them out there are dry from the factory or bike store. When you pump up a shock from empty also remember most of them like to be squished up and down a bit as the pressure goes up to ensure the negative side (presuming you have one) doesn’t get unbalanced and stick.
