  1. Way too many, like maybe that crank will not fit on this bike with that bottom bracket. I think there should only be a few millimeters between the face of the crank arm and the spindle.

  2. If you can’t latch the plastic tab so its pin goes into the hole, it’s not right. This is definitely not right.

On 68mm bb shells you don’t use spacers on a road bb with a road crank (talking about shimano here). However, you’re using an mtb bottom bracket which is a problem in the first place

Completely wrong. Don’t ride it. There’s something significantly wrong. Incompatible parts somewhere.

  5. You’ve followed the correct instructions for the bottom bracket, but picked the wrong one.

You need a road bb with no spacers – it may work with an MTB one with no spacers, not sure if current generation ones have the same width cups

  6. Use the bb without spacers. The 2 2.5mm spacers are needed if you use an mtb crankset with a longer axle in a 68mm frame. If you use road crankset like this grx and 68mm you need only the thinner 1mm spacer on the drive side.
