Everybody loves my bike so I named her Raymond. The frame is a 1994 Kona Lava Dome. Front tire is a 2.5" Maxxis Hookworm. Rear tire is 1.95. Both on 26-in wheels. Front brake is disc and the rear brake is caliper. The frame is aluminum so she's nice and light when she's not packed down. I'm going to take her out on the Katy Trail in a week or so for Pedalers Jamboree.

  1. Nice.

I’m thinking of getting bar end shifters, with an Albatross bar soon to arrive. How about a close-up shot of your grip, where the shifter enters the bar?

  2. Awesome bike. Just FYI I’m pretty sure that frame is Tange double butted cromoly. (That’s what it says in the ’94 Kona catalog anyway.) I think it was ’97 or ’98 before Kona started making aluminum frames.
