Help me decide? vol. 2

On my previous post I asked for help comparing two bicycles. Thanks to the comments there I had decided to get the Riverside bike.

However, after that, I've stumbled upon a shop that still carries this bike: ToughRoad SLR EX. I believe these are mostly discontinued, but I like the style more compared to the riverside.

• The price is the same.
• The Giant bike is lighter by a decent amount (14kg vs 17kg)
• I used the gear calculator and the Riverside seems very slightly more capable in the low and high ends (but very close)

I am still having trouble comparing the rest of the components, though:

• Are the quality of the Shimano Deore (on the Giant bike) worse than those on the Riverside?

• Does anyone see any red flags picking the Giant over the Riverside?
