I want to get into the hobby / lifestyle / obsession (whatever it’s called these days) and bought this off of FB. Trek domane AL 2 and previous owner swapped out groupset for shimano 105s. Bontrager wheels (not sure if that’s correct terminology) and 11 speed. Test ride was pretty smooth. It’s kinda small for me (I’m 5’ 11” and it’s a 54) — any recs to make it fit better

You should either be a size 56 or 58, according to Trek and based on your height.
Could your LBS do a fitting for you and include it in the price of a new Domane?
105 is a great groupset.
In case your are in between sizes I would always go for the smaller size as it is easier to adjust a bike to get longer but harder to make it smaller. 5’11” sounds perfect for a 54 size frame. How do you asses that is too small for you? You should sit comfortably on the saddle with your sitbones on the wide part of the saddle. Reaching the hoods with a slight bend in your arms should feel comfortable over a longer period of time without locking your elbows or having your shoulders in an extended position. I see that the saddle is already quite far rearwards. If you want to make the bike longer, in case you really need it, you can flip the stem around its longitudinal axis or additionally remove some of the spacers below the stem as the handlebar is in a pretty high position.
But without seeing your position on the bike it is pretty hard to give any general recommendations.
Condition seems to be fine. Price looks to be around 45%-50% of new which would be fair for a bike in good condition and <10.000 km. Always check wear on tires, brakes, chain and gears as those parts can add up to another 100-200 $ if they need to be replaced.
If it doesn’t fit it wasn’t a good deal.
