If you need to ask, replace it.
If the foam is compressed then it is compromised and needs to be replaced, doesnt matter if it’s from a fall or poor storage.
Helmets have an expiration of ~5yrs. Some say 3yrs. 5 yrs is a safe bet. The foam becomes brittle and dries up. Might look OK but if you fall the foam wont absorb the impact it’ll just transfer it to your head.

Age alone is a reason to toss it.
Get a decent MIPS helmet.
