Picked up this bike that was fished up from a river in town last summer, it was full of water and heavy as lead then, looking pretty decent under the dirt though. Will put parts bin parts on where needed. (Shimano 105 8 speed RD, friction shifter?)

Cool project – are you going to keep the drowning victim patina on the frame and forks?
Dont pressure wash it otherwise water could get into bearings
