I've got this older custom carbon frame cyclocross bike (pictured). I love riding it, but it's only useful for short rides 'cause it has no cargo capacity. I'd really like to put at least a rear panier rack on it, but it doesn't have any eyelits for mounting a rack. I think the frame is sturdy enough to support a rack, as it's quite beefy for a carbon frame, it's just it doesn't have any eyelits. Are there any racks you can get that mount by friction that might work on this bike?

There are racks that mount without bolt holes. They usually use the rear axle and the seatpost. The Tailfin Rack is one of the nicest examples, especially if you get the carbon one. https://www.tailfin.cc/product/pannier-racks/alloy-rack/
Tailfin rack setup. Kind of pricey but from what I’ve heard really good.
Saddle bags or tailfin is your only option.
It might be cheaper to get a second simple steel bike with mounts though. Up to you!
I do love my tailfin though…
Could always opt for a half frame bag since it looks like you have room to clear the brake cable

The tailfin kinda sucks, doesn’t fit normal panniers and puts the load much higher than a normal rack

I would go with a custom frame bag and/or Tailfin rack depending on how much you want to carry. Strap some cages to the front fork and you can go touring.
Another option is the Ortlieb quick rack – https://www.ortlieb.com/usa_en/quick-rack+F78104. Similar idea to the tailfin, though far cheaper. It has attachment points that go on the rear axel and seat post.
The ortleib quick rack straps onto the seatpost and the seat stays, no mounting points required.
