yes, this is not damaged. It is where the rim is pinned together in manufacturing. Perfectly normal.

Yup, it’s fine it’s a pinned joint rim, this is what they look like, their more expensive siblings are a welded rim and as such you don’t see the seam like you do on a pinned rim.
