I have a bike with 7 gears and the derailleur shown here. Can’t get it properly indexed and was looking for info regarding the derailleur. As far as I found, this type is a 7200 derailleur that only came as a 6speed? The first 7 speed is a 7401 derailleur? It looks different than the one I’ve grow could it be I’ve got a 7 speed with a 6 speed derailleur?

This is a friction only derailleur. And judging from the bike, someone switched the derailleurs. Yours is a very early model.
There are plenty of Shimano-brand 7 speed indexed rear derailleurs out there if you want to use indexed shifting. As TonyHawk said, your is friction only.
