Hello, I finished building my bike, but i am now concerned if i assembled my headset correctly.
I saw a video of a guy using a headset press.
For putting my headset together I didn't use anything. Just put the bearings on the fork and fixed my stem. I was wondering if this is correct?
I see some videos where they do this and in some others they just a lot of tools.

Did you take the cups out of the frame and back in?? This is where the pressing tool is needed
Just to be absolutely sure – You just slipped the cups in? https://i.imgur.com/WVAyI2Q.png as in the parts circled on that image?
And you’re not confusing the bearings with the cups?
The headset looks fine to me.
I think that the gear cable should have cable end cap/ferrule on it though. I’m guessing that it’s the same in the other side?
Headset looks fine, but I think you’re missing something in the shift cables – there are likely supposed to be barrel adjusters threaded into the posses on the frame, not just the bare cable housing jammed in there
