Just finished building my new “old” Champion Mondial! The only original thing left is the frame itself, which is in amazingly good condition, especially considering it’s 44 years old. Original race number is a pleasant bonus.
Fork is carbon with aluminium dropouts and steerer. It is from late 90s-early 2000s, made by Dedacciai for Duell bikes, soon to be repainted to match the rest of the bike. Headset is threadless from BBB.
The whole groupset is an 11-speed SRAM Rival 1, with the exception of the rear derailleur. That one is Apex 1. All cables and housings are Jagwire. Cassette is Rival 11-32. Chainring is 44t from Garbaruk. Wheels are Vision Team Comp 35mm deep, wrapped in 28mm Conti 4 Seasons. Saddle is, my favourite, Selle Italia SLR superflow.
It’s an absolute blast to ride, super comfy and fast!
