Looks like DOT must be out to grade the road before Memorial Day weekend. Be careful, they always end up turning up old railroad spikes and other metal debris along the way. Are you heading in or out? Make sure you plan enough time to explore Kennicott while you’re there, it’s well worth the trip and only another 6 miles past McCarthy. Hop in with a tour group if they’re still doing tours of the mill and town.
