Hello, I recently aquired an older Peugeot roadbike with I believe is an internally expanding seatpost? (please correct me if I am wrong, coming from mountainbiking)
When adjusting this out higher, the threaded rod came loose from the internal nut.
I am having difficulty restarting the rod into the nut in the frame. Are there any tips or tricks for this process?

You’re missing the bung that the bolt screws into.

You probably unscrewed the bolt too much and the bung has now fallen down inside the seat tube.
