
I ordered an Aeroad at the beginning of February with only three weeks delivery time. Which was a reason I pressed the button as I needed a bike for a Race in June.
As the weeks pass I got a notification that my order will be delayed by 1 month. So far so good, things can happen.
Fast forward to today. I received my 5th(!) "delivery delay" Mail and my delivery date got pushed to mid-end of August. WTF? How is that even possible when the bike was basically in stock at the time I bought it.
I wrote to Canyon but only received the generic "things can happen and there is very high demand" answer.
Anyone else in here with the same problem as me (EU)? Is it normal to have such delays without further clarifications from Canyon? Is there anything I can do besides of waiting or cancelling my order?

Yes, it can happen. No, nothing you can do. You haven’t paid, so there is no obligation on either side.
I ordered my Aeroad CF SLX 7 at the beginning of April. The delivery period is 06-17 May. Last Monday I received an e-mail that the delivery would be delayed by 2 weeks. One day later and the bike was dispatched and arrived today. (Fast Lime, size xs)
If you ordered the black (stealth) one delivery can take a while. The amount of orders for that specific model is bonkers. Large and XL haven’t been in stock for ages now so they probably have A LOT of backorders.
