My viewer is truly deluded if he thinks how he acted is like a proper road user.

hi everyone today’s video that I’m going to be looking at is from one of my viewers Adrian constantly comments on my videos about my lack of reporting to the police Adrien does also upload some of his footage to YouTube most of which involves motorists who aren’t driving or riding impeccably so when one of his videos came up in my feed I decided to have a look and this is what I saw I’ll do some analysis on what goes on in our second viewing yeah mate great what nice job what’s your assessment on that first time of SE in the clip well this was my first thought terrible antagonistic ride in Adrien stop causing resentment towards the rest of us proper cyclists Adrien replied sorry Ashley I used to like your videos I even got my kid to watch some of them when he was doing his CBT but your continued attitude to bad drivers of letting them get away with it by not reporting to operation snap means you have lost a viewer but he is still watching he has commented a few times but I’m just ignoring him now he did go on in his comment to ask what I thought was antagonistic filtering past the car or staying in primary position when the lights ahead are on red actually no Adrien it’s how you are and the first bit of text you’ve laid over the screen tells me a lot your anti motorist attitude is clear to see within your riding let’s have a look in this clip actually what any of the vehicles do wrong first of all we need to think about you’ve just overtaken to stop at a red light and ironically this is the basis of your agreement towards these motorists now watch the driver of the Mercedes behind they overtake with space but again you have some text overlay the driver of the Mercedes completes the overtake briskly which leaves you at a lower risk the driver of the van ahead is yet to write signal or even break but you haven’t realized this you’re all too eager to point the finger again why are you laughing the Mercedes driver is now too close to the van but it doesn’t affect Adrien whatsoever this text overlay also shows Adrienne’s mindset of he must get in front he has a shake of the head and this is a visual display for the driver of the Mercedes but now Adrian’s attention has switched to the driver of the Audi that’s following behind but while we’re watching the Audi do absolutely nothing I will add I’d like you to go back to the driver of the Mercedes they’ve done very little wrong they’ve done nothing to increase risk for the cyclist yet they’ve just been shaking the head at but going forward is this driver of the Mercedes going to think all cyclists are going to be like that what Adrien does is just increases The Stereotype not all cyclists act in the way that Adrien does just like not all Audi drivers driv in their stereotype and look at the one behind they’re following okay and they haven’t overtaken and they don’t even overtake here which would have been perfectly legal and perfectly fine if they’d been able to complete before this vehicle coming the other way but Adrian’s triggered because the lights up ahead are on red but hang on a minute didn’t he do that in the first part of the clip we saw what is the difference both Road users are effectively overtaking to be overtaken again but this is lost on Adrian the driver of the Audi overtakes briskly and giving Adrien plenty of space and he can’t resist as he rides past because the driver of the Audi has got the window down an antagonistic comment nice job but if you’re going up ahead to turn right Adrien you’re going to get stuck and this Audi driver is going to drive straight past you didn’t you plan this out and after this exchange what does the driver of the Audi think of cyclists oh the irony before people start point fingers I would advise getting your own actions in order first

Think Audi driver is correct in her analysis, excellent 😊
I think yelling stuff through drivers windows is antagonistic.
It seems that Cllr Adrian has never been punched in the face
Typical arrogance on a bike.That 🤡sure doesn’t like cars
Adrian behaves like a silly child. He is clearly anti-car, which, as a councillor, most likely puts him at odds with the majority of his constituents.
Due to his immature nature and his inability to be impartial, perhaps he should consider resigning as he’s not fit to hold the post.
Any motorist would have stopped to let the car that was emerging from the right, complete the turn safely. but no, typical entitled cyclist just blasts through, assuming the car has seen him & will not pull out.
I wouldn't ride like this but… I'm pretty sure that the shake of the head and laughing at the Merc driver was simply because they'd overtaken only to join the back of a queue – pointless fuel wasting aggressive driving that I see all time (both whilst on the bike and driving).
The Audi driver was correct Adrian you are a c…
And this comes from a cyclist, we’re not all like you and I’d kindly ask you no longer identify as a cyclist so people know the difference
Some cyclists are very easily triggered and obviously have to much time on their hands to go to all the trouble to produce videos like this. I do ride one occasionally.
Adrian should work hard and save up for a car because his jealousy is getting the better of him. Mercs and Audis are nice cars Adrian I hope you get one some day.
Nice one Ashley. Well said.
This cyclist is simply a jerk. He should concentrate on being a good cyclist rather than being a self entitled asshole.
25 seconds in, cammer is doing a MGIF, stationary cars so lights could be about to change, just why put yourself in that position unless you were going to turn right, you've gained nothing excepting to put yourself in a less safe position. And after that you've moved from the left to the right only being able to do so because of the right turning vehicles
1:09, positioning onto the rbt is terrible, gone over the rbt and then moved to the far left, if you want to prevent an overtake on a rbt and have a good safe position through the exit, take the lane (primary) and remain there through the exit, you're all over the place!
1:47, they won't overtake you because you're erratic, you shouldn't ride closer to the parked cars to invite it, it's on the driver to decide when to overtake, not you. And when they overtook gave you loads of space.
I've been critical of AN on a few occasions, but this video proves to me the cammer is someone I'd be having a chat with if I was pulling up next to you at the next set of lights, IF you weren't filtering offside to do a MGIF of course!
Staying behind the 3 cars in front would have meant a much smoother, less entangled journey, I wonder how this person drives a car?
I would personally be grateful she attempted to give me that much space when overtaking. One van last week intimidated me until I stopped at the side to let him pass but still felt the need to close pass me.
The very first clip he gained no advantage to overtake stationary vehicles at a red light knowing full well they would need to overtake. As a cyclist you need to behave like a French waiter, a useful but ghostly presence.
You know what they say. Every time you point your finger at someone you're pointing 3 back at yourself
Ashley, what's the rule with Zig-Zags? I know it caused no issues for Adrian, and he was far too busy performing his one-man show to notice, but should the Audi have overtaken there, technically?
I've been cycling for the last two weeks because of your switch to cycling. I was incredibly nervous about cycling on main roads but It's been quite surprising the amount of space people find and drivers are usually appreciative when I slow down to make it easier for them to overtake. I've been watching this channel for a few years and I hope there's many more to come. Thanks for all your work!
To be fair Ashley, judging from many of the comments against this clip, this channel is doing quite well at generating antagonism or at least acting as a home for those who have a problem with people that use bicycles. The contrast between the comments on this channel and your driving one is quite marked. Those on the latter are generally far more measured. Also, I'm not sure that using inflammatory words like "deluded" to describe the viewer help. In your position, shouldn't you be trying to calm things down?
Ashlrey says in the email that Adrian is, "Antagonistic riding" but many examples you cite are text overlay to a video after the incident, this is not antagonistic riding. It is irrelevent if Adrian has an anti-motorist beliefs as long as he rides safely, just as it's fine for a motorist to have anti-cyclist beliefs as long as they drive safely.
Adrian shouldn't have filtered at the first set of traffic lights but since he had there was no good reason for the Mercedes driver to overtake, two wrongs do not make a right. It's true the red van was not yet indicatjjing to turn right, as Ashley says, but this is irrelevent because the Mercedes driver should have seen the queue of traffic up ahead and anticipated having to wait before turning.
Any overtake increases risk regardless of how well it is executed. The go by Ashley's mantra of reducing risk the Mercedes driver, although it's probably frustrating for them, should have held back as the overtake achieved nothing.
Again, any overtake increases risk and the Audi driver increased the risk despite brilliant execution so that they could queue at the next set of lights. The increase in risk was patently unnecessary.
I wouldn't recommend anybody speak to another road user in case it casues conflict, and so it's true his comment was antagonistic, but a pleasantly sarcastic, "good job," is hardly offensive.
As a cyclist this rider is just trying to wind up car drivers. Should just take the bus.
2:48 Not being funny, but anyone eho says you should "just report them to operation SNAP" has never done so themselves. I have, and the police aren't interested. It's a waste of time and energy.
Adrian is the reason so many motorists hate cyclists. I don’t care if he’s entitled to do whatever he is doing but he is really aiming for slap bang in the middle of the lane, as though he is only doing so because he is legally entitled to do so. I beckon drivers through if I end up at the front at a red light. If not I just sit in the queue and I’ll be at 30mph not long after them, I do everything I can to help drivers pass me safely or to not be inconvenienced by me quite honestly because I’m scared of drivers. Then people like Adrian come and make sure the hate for us all is still there.
A lot of people feel the need to encourage situations or exaggerate situations for likes and attention online…
More self-righteous crap from Ashley. Ashley fails to see that the Merc overtook at excessive speed and if red van had braked hard unexpectedly the merc would likely have rear ended van.
Spot on.
