Hey there!
I recently made a short 70 km bike trip from Darmstadt to Frankfurt and back to Darmstadt. A beautiful day to bike and a lush green route all along was a great experience. I spent some time on the banks of the Main River in Frankfurt before heading back. The route is also recommended if you wish to experience non-intensive offroad biking.
