Hi! I bought a second hand bicycle and the rear derauiler was not working when purchased. When I got home and looked better at it and tried it out, it is hitting the cassette.
It's a 10 speed cassette and the derauiler it's a 10 speed one also, so it shouldn't be a problem, but it is.
From looking closer, I believe that the derauiler hanger was changed, but with a smaller one, but I need a second opinion please.
The B screw it's tightne all the way, but still hits.
Thank you!

Your derailleur will extend forward under the tension of the cable once you put a chain on
Edit: I guess rotate would be a better description
Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried it with the chain on also, and made no change
How big is your cassette? Looks like maybe a 40 tooth? The long cage RD-5701 maxes out at 32 teeth with a double crankset and 30 with a triple. I think your cassette is too big. If it is a 40 tooth, you *may* be able to stretch it to 40 with a Roadlink.
