Wanting to start biking, love the look of this bike and just planning to go on rides around the city. I’m 5”10 so i’m not sure how a 56cm would fit. This bike is a cannondale caad 8 and he’s asking $500. is it worth it?

Frame is probably a bit large for you (I’m 5’8 and I take a 54” from cannondale). Having said that this bike looks good. I would get someone experienced to look over it for damage before you agree to a sale though.
