I have to replace my cables anyway and I wanted to do something similar to this where the cables that are exposed look like nice jagwire link cables. I have a Merida Scultura 9000 where there are three holes on the downtube for internally routing the two gear cables and rear brake cable. I have never done the cables on my bike before but I am wondering if I can combine those three cables into one housing? Is that how the person in the photo with a Cannondale manages to have only two exposed cables? One is obviously to the front rim brake and the other cable for the other three

That bike seems to use a wireless electronic shifting system.
That bike has wireless Sram Etap shifters. Hence no need for any shifter cables and a reduction of cables from 4 to 2.

I have used cables like Jagwire elite for the shift cables on my TT bike with risers to bring them from the aero bars down to the down tube while keeping them as close to the frame as possible while still allowing full range of motion.
The cables are actually an Aliexpress versions. Hard to assemble, hard to index and require a bit of settling in, but has really allowed me to clean up the front end. The cables cross over the top of the stem and again underneath the top tube, this allows for plenty of movement when twisting the handlebars. The amount of cable exposed to the wind front on has been significantly reduced. Side looks much cleaner too. The second link is the best I could do with conventional cabling while still having good performance. The segmented one is just so more flexible.
