I have a road bike that was free on the side of the road. It’s a royal enfield, which turns out was produced by Indian motors at some point. This thing has some old school thing shifters (pictured below), which control the front gear and rear, I’m not a bike expert so probably botched their names. When I shift both into high gear, the front gear shifter slides over and creates a friction point with the pedal, and obviously a clicking noise, which can’t be right. Can anyone help determine what adjustment I need to make? Any info on this style of shifter and how to best operate them would be awesome as well!

Here’s the shifters
The cage of the front derailleur is bent. You can use some pliers to bend it back into alignment. Look up pictures of that derailleur for reference
