Setting off on this route in a few weeks. General route is Pula – Trieste – Soca River – Kranjska Gora – Villach – GrosGlockner – Salzburg – Munich.
I am open to adjusting the route if I am missing anything worthwhile. Plan on a mix of camping/hotels. I have never traveled in this part of Europe but I am very much looking forward to the trip.
How has the winter been in the Alps this year ? Will the high passes be open at the end of May ?
