I came across these brakes that use a cantilever brake pad and mount. I like that combination a lot, it's much easier to tighten these without messing up your adjustment.
I searched the web but couldn't find any info on these, does anyone have info on them ? Thanks !

It’s just a v-brake that uses threadless post pads instead of threaded. No special name or anything.
Holy crap I’m actually in the same boat here. I need a pair of these. I have an old 80s Cannondale I’m converting to V-brakes but the post mounts are farther apart than normal, and this is the only viable solution.
Not sure if there’s a name for them but old Shimano stx rc are of this type.
