A redditor told me it was a good buy when I posted about purchasing a gravel bike from Rei. Jensen has the alloy 30 on sale right now for 1k.

Asking cause I’m not very familiar with gravel geometry or SRAM components. Coming from a Shimano 105 on my cross bike and like the Deore 12 on my mountain bike

Just got one a couple weeks ago. It’s a damn steal at the current price.

Only weakness was the tires which I swapped out. Plenty of clearance, solid build, good enough brakes. I plan on upgrading as stuff wears out but not much I’d change off the jump.

I have the Solo 50 and have had few Rocky Mountain bikes over the years. It’s a decent fame and they always match with good components

I have a RM hybrid I’ve had for 15 years that’s my city beater now

I’m looking at this too. Only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger is size. I’m 5’7″ and right between a small and medium. I’m leaning small because I think it’s comparable to a road bike I had many years ago but I was burned on sizing a mountain bike a few years ago.

  6. As someone that recently sold my bike that had the same groupset and brakes as the one you’re looking at.
(Went to a bike with GRX and hydro brakes)

I’d strongly suggest a bike with hydraulic brakes. Best quality of life upgrade I’ve made since getting into cycling. No more messing with the brakes constantly or struggling to get rid of rubbing discs or poor braking power suddenly. When they work it’s “ok” as in you won’t die on a decent but I never got along with them. Super happy with my new bike.
