Edit: Went through Specialized Rockhopper catalog, and I just found a set with included rockshox fork. Seems that its normal that frame tube bottom is not filled (?) Still would like to know how is this thing called.. https://www.specialized.com/us/en/rockhopper-expert-29/p/199569?color=319660-199569

Original:

I just replaced my SR Suntour XCE 29" to RockShox Judy Gold RL 29" Solo Air 100 QR and just now I noticed, that the gap is not fully filled between fork and the frame tube front (not sure how i should call it). Is it normal? Can't find information about this location, and how it should be..

Photo from the website shows how it was previously. Photo taken from camera shows how it looks now with new fork.

Would appreciate with any knowledge sharing

Did you use the same crown race from the old fork or a different crown race?

Is the crown physically smaller than the other? My old (2016ish) rockshox Judy was smaller and looked like that vs my newer rockshox Judy on a specialized rockhopper.
