First bike I’ll own in a long time. I plan on riding 80% of the time on paved trails or roads, but definitely want the flexibility of taking it off road a bit (Upstate NY). All of these would fit me. Ideally I wanted to stay around $200 but the Trek seems like a good deal? Sorry for some weird photos / collages. Please share your thoughts and thank you!
1) Trek Verve Disc 2 – $400
2) Schwinn Dual Sport – $170
3) GT ZUM – $275
4) Diamondback Axis – $195

They’re all pretty similar in quality. I’d try and stay away from front suspension on a bike that cheap. See if you can talk the Trek seller down a bit. The GT Zum is cool because it has a rack and fenders already.
My first choice would be the Trek, with the GT a close second.
