After carefully cleaning my road bike and drive train, I did a 40 km test ride and everything was perfect.
The next day:
I get this annoying creak sound, it happens only when I push down hard with the right foot – it also seems to only happen when I am in the small chain ring.
I find this sound quite distinctive – does it sound familiar to anyone and is there a good hint ?

I would try pedal and cleat lube first. If that doesn’t work it’s probably an issue with the bottom bracket.
You might also want to look at your headset, try not to move it when pedaling. I had a similar noise and this was the cause for me.
Have you tightened/cleaned/relubed the chain bolts?

Maybe the chain is rubbing up against the front derailleur under lateral load, sometimes it doesn’t take much to cause this, depending on frame design/material. Start by checking the low limit screw.
In my experience, creaks like that are from a loose bolt somewhere. I would try and tighten every bolt on the bike, beginning with the seat post & saddle rails, and then looking at the chainring bolts.
That sounds very much like a chain rubbing against the front derailleur cage. It’s happening on the right pedal down stroke because that’s deflecting the chainring into the cage.
I would check the setting of the limit screws and the trim settings for that chain ring.
If that cage moved outboard just another millimeter or two, that might solve the problem.
It happens at the exact same crank position. Seems like people in here are just guessing whatever lol. Most of those things won’t happen reliably with each crank rotation… except for the guy that mentioned chain rubbing on the FD cage. This is very easy to check for (rotate it an look and see if the chain is touching). It might only happen in certain gears at the back as well (ones that pull the chain closer to the FD cage). Fix by adjusting limits slightly until it doesn’t rub anymore. If you adjust too much you might hurt your ability to shift.
Does it still happen on your large chain ring?
it could be your right crank! you can hear it on your drive side down stroke when you put more pressure down. is it louder out of the saddle? when your bike gets a deep soak then water gets into tight spaces and can cause noises. once the water dries the sound should go away. cheers
