They always come out with "I'm a crown servant" or "I serve the crown" do they know who or what the crown is? It is NOT the King, it is not the government. The crown is the state – in other word the people. . . . US. We pay for the police via our taxes they exist to serve us. They are public servants funded from the public purse.
