You might be able to get a properly sized bolt to hold that tool tight to the bottom bracket cup with the hope that it’s enough to crack it free.

It is left hand threaded which means it loosens in the clockwise direction.

This side is reverse thread. And they are usually on TIGHT

When I get these at the shop, I use Pedro’s BB socket with their socket holder. Hasn’t failed me yet.

As others have said it’s reverse threaded. Usually I’d stand on the tool to release it but you’ll need to put the bike back on its wheels to do that. Another option would be to clamp the tool in a bench vise upside down and use the frame as leverage. If you don’t have a vice another strong pair of hands will help. Final option is to take it to bike shop, they’ll have it out in seconds. Or invest in a square taper socket with either wrench flats or a square drive so you can use a breaker bar. Once out I’m guessing the BB might need chasing due to corrosion if it’s that stuck.

Assuming the non drive side cup is already removed. Thread an M8x1 bolt with gigantic washer to secure the tool to the bb. The. Remove bb clockwise.
